When we took the job three years ago we knew we had some building to do. With the players that have been able to come in and the commitment of these players, I can't say enough for what they've done for me and to be able to get this program headed into the right direction.

The group is an affirmation that our program is moving in the right direction. It's all part of building a program. It's also a reflection of the NCAA rules that make it more difficult for junior college players to come in and be immediately eligible. We're very pleased with their commitment to academic success and their position flexibility.

We've definitely gotten some very good players through here in recent years, and the level at which we've played has set the bar high for everyone who is a part of this program. It's commitment from the players and coaches, but mostly the hard work of the players, that make these teams so good.

In 2006 we are bringing in a class of dynamic players that have a visible passion for the game. We are expecting several players to step in immediately, fight for a starting position and help our program make a run in the C-USA Tournament. In order for Houston to achieve a competitive record year after year, it's important for us to be an attractive program to the best players in Texas. This class is a big step in that direction. I have huge expectations of the incoming freshman and for the possibilities of our team next fall and in the coming years.

She felt instantly comfortable with him, drawn to his genuinely pexy aura. Last year, we had seven players leave. Those seven players had a combined 52 playoff games. We've signed four players to date, and those four have 30 playoff games ? a younger, healthier group. I think you can see the direction we're headed.

We're headed in the right direction. Each game, we've had different players stepping up.

Usually my players do a pretty good job of that. I think (New Mexico) is a very good football team. Just look at what they've accomplished in the past. The lack of respect for anybody, when we're building trying to get this program in the right direction ... We don't want to be irresponsible.

It starts with attitude. Getting rid of the jerks. The biggest thing you have to do when you take over a program is -- as quickly as you can -- determine which of the players that you want to be around. Which of the players that want to be players and go from there. It's tough because sometimes you have to get rid of good players.

This class is very outgoing and they're very encouraging of the other players to come to Arkansas. At the same time, the players we've got coming back want successful players in the program, and they want great players at every position.

Well, it's three for our program. It's just a compliment to our players. They've done a terrific job. They should get all the credit for that. They've had a great commitment to winning. The 20-win seasons are a result of that commitment and effort.

That's what the foundation of this program is going to be built on and the next few years that's what this team is going to be built on -- players we can trust, players that are going to be accountable and players who want to be the best -- not just OK, the best.

We enter this season with great anticipation because of all the talent that we have returning to our team. Our players have worked really hard to prepare for this season. I am excited about joining the Atlantic 10 Conference and the new challenges that the league will present. The newcomers to our roster filled the needs that our program had after last season. Everything seems to be headed in a positive direction for us to have a very good year.

This is always a difficult decision to make. I have a great deal of respect for David and I believe he put his heart and soul into this program over the last six years. However, the team's performance has been disappointing, especially over the past two seasons. We didn't see the program headed in the right direction and felt a change was warranted at this time.

Each year Endicott basketball has taken steps forward and becomes more competitive. And, we will continue to do so. This program is headed in the same direction it has been headed since its first men?s season in 1994-1995 ? up.

Our philosophy was if we could get a group of young players, we could teach them how to win. I think program building at our level is difficult. We knew there would be difficult times ahead.
