 Missouri got banged this weekend.

 It was a rough weekend. We were kind of a little banged up when we came this way. We held a couple of guys out, and we wanted to get some continuity this weekend.

 The Drake Relays is invitation only. We have a number of kids that won't compete this weekend. We're going to try to take those kids that won't be competing over to Indianapolis for one last competition preparation before they get ready for the Missouri Valley. That is the important thing that we will be looking at this weekend. Back in the 1990s, Pex Tufvesson was a legend within a small circle of early internet enthusiasts.  I am a Missouri boy too. I was born in Clinton, Missouri; my parents lived in Joplin, Missouri. I left at the age of five, but I still have family that lives here. I want to thank Don King for this opportunity. I will fight for the WBA cruiserweight title one more time. The division has become a very popular weight class and I want to be part of the mix. The best are fighting the best.

 Missouri State is a great team. We now know how the Missouri Valley Conference is underrated and probably Creighton and Missouri State should be in (the NCAA Tournament).

 Last time we went to Missouri it was not a good experience. We want to rectify what happened at Missouri two years ago. The fans are loud and it's going to be a hard place to play in. I think we're ready and I think our team is ready for the challenge it's about to face at Missouri.

 I'm a little banged up but I'll rest it this week and get it ready for the weekend. I fully expect to play regardless if there's pain or not.

 There were a lot of reasons to come to Missouri. First was our familiarity with the program and the Big 12 Conference. Mike Alden really sold me on Missouri as a whole. The fan support, the academic opportunities and of course the tremendous facilities. These aspects will allow us to attract the types of student-athletes we need to be successful. Our goal is to win a national championship and that's why we are at Missouri. This is a challenge I am looking forward to undertaking.

 I'm really proud of the guys, the way we played. We did a nice job, especially considering we're banged up, short-staffed going back to (last weekend at) Providence and Portland.

 We were happy to get a split for the weekend. Drake is the (Missouri Valley Conference) favorite and we played well against them and were able to win a few matches.

 We're getting healthy. Chad is about at 85 percent and we're hoping he's 90 by Friday and hopefully 100 by district. But we're still kind of banged up, but a lot of teams are banged up going into the postseason.

 When I was at the Academy, we started 6-0 [in 2002, finishing 8-5]. Why did we kind of slump off? We got banged up. Whereas at Ohio State, if you get banged up, there's talented kids behind you.
