 I don't know what was different, ... But we swung the bats from the outset of the game. Maybe that was the difference. We went out with a more aggressive approach. We seem to go at him that way. In the past, he's made good pitches on us early in the count, he's gotten ahead and put us away.

 The Cubs take a good approach and they've got something on me that I keep doing -- whether it's offspeed when I am ahead in the count, they seem to sit on some curveballs and put some good bats on them, ... I tip my hat to them, but I have to make some better pitches.

 We're going to approach him the way we always have and just take for granted that he's going to be swinging the way he usually swings. I mean this guy's one of the greatest hitters of all time, so we're not going to treat him any differently. We'll try to approach him the same way we have in the past and that's to make quality pitches and hopefully not make a mistake.

 McCoy is one of the older girls and more experienced. She's a good, strong, powerful hitter and makes good contact. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. We're glad to have her. She's the only real power we have on the team. Everyone else is singles hitters.

 There's not one specific approach you can have with [Anderson]. He's one of the best hitters in the league. Wherever you pitch him he's pretty much a .300 hitter everywhere. He's a good hitter. He needs a day off tomorrow.

 Hopefully, I want to be a guy who's a good hitter who will have power. I don't want necessarily to be a power hitter. I want to be a good hitter first. ... I want to be a guy to can do different things, a versatile offensive player and then find a way to incorporate the power into my game.

 He puts the barrel to the ball. His approach to the plate is solid. The power thing is tough to gauge. Obviously he's strong. He's got the hands. But you think of him as a hitter first.

 Our role is very often ruled by the law of power instead of the power of law, ... We are too small to change things. We must be very brave to approach compromise.

 I keep telling our power hitters not to try to hit home runs because actually when you hit a home run, it is like hitting errors, so we need to focus on the process of having good at bats and the power will take care of itself.

 He's one of the top two power hitters we've ever had here. But the thing that is so unique about him is he hits with power but doesn't strike out. He probably had about 70 at-bats last year and struck out 10 times. He has 15 plate appearances this season and hasn't struck out yet.

 The whole decision was based on Lovell. The way his ball moves, I was afraid they (Florence's hitters) were going to start taking pitches and getting walks. With the power they have over there, we didn't want to be in that situation.

 He's phenomenal, ... He doesn't give any at-bats away, no matter what the score or what the situation. He's obviously an awesome hitter -- the best hitter I've ever seen. The numbers that he puts up, the way he takes every at-bat, the consistency that he has every day, is better than anyone I've ever seen.
