This is very sad gezegde

 This is very sad news, especially because Steve loved life so much. Although I only managed him for a short time, I will always remember his passion and his determination.

 What is passion? It is surely the becoming of a person. Are we not, for most of our lives, marking time? Most of our being is at rest, unlived. In passion, the body and the spirit seek expression outside of self. Passion is all that is other from self. Sex is only interesting when it releases passion. The more extreme and the more expressed that passion is, the more unbearable does life seem without it. It reminds us that if passion dies or is denied, we are partly dead and that soon, come what may, we will be wholly so.

 What I always said about Al was that he had a rough exterior, but inside he was a big teddy bear. He had a passion for the game and he loved kids. I never saw Al mad, except at the refs, when he was coaching. Whatever Al did, he had fun. He loved life.

 It was just a matter of time for Steve. If Steve would have stopped shooting, he would have come out of the game ... He has a very short memory when it comes to his shot, and that's what a great shooter has to have.

 I would give him very high marks for doing what he's managed to do in a very short period of time. I think he's managed to settle down the uproar regarding the bureau.

 Each time that one loves is the only time one has ever loved. Difference of object does not alter singleness of passion. It merely intensifies it. We can have but one great experience at best, and the secret of life is to reproduce that experience as often as possible. The Picture of Dorian Gray

 Every one of my paintings is of some scene or story that I remember when I was a girl. I loved staying with my grandmother and it's mostly things from the time that I spent with her that I paint. It was a simple life then. People took time with one another. Those are some good memories.

 He's a very, very sharp guy. You can't help but enjoy being around him. At the same time, we would butt heads from time to time. He's got plenty of emotion and is willing to express it. I think it's not just passion. It's a combination of intellect and passion which makes for a very potent force. I can't think of anyone in public life who has that mixture.

 It was traumatic but exhilarating to feel what my father felt. I remember the ache of the separation from the people I loved. I would never go back to that time. Yet the things I learned benefited my life.

 Double Duty shared such a love for baseball and a passion for life. We all loved to listen to his stories and share in his laughter. He leaves such a great legacy after experiencing so much history and change during his long life.

 The University has given me the opportunity to be the full-time athletic director at UW-River Falls. I am accepting the offer. The basketball program has been my life and my passion the past 20 years. That passion and love remain. It is just time.

 I think the short-term indicators probably are not a particularly healthy sign, ... Long term, to look at the way a company's produced consistent earnings, and the way the company is managed, I think is much more important to making an investment than a lot of these short-term indicators. But, in a bull market, there's no such thing as bad news. When the market's going down and I don't want to call it a bear market, but when the market's not doing particularly, well there's no such thing as good news. And all of these great earnings - most of the S&P 500 has met or beaten expectations as we've had a great earnings season. And the market doesn't really seem to care. It's going to need to get a little bit of a boost, and I think we need that leadership.

 As everyone in this room knows, Steve is one of the finest gentlemen you will ever meet in any walk of life. Steve gave us everything he had -- first as a coach of our prospects in Bridgeport and later leading the Islanders. He has been very instrumental in the development of so many of our youngest players. It is my hope that Steve will stay in the organization.

 You can do a life audit at any age or stage of life. Don't waste time on things that aren't necessary or good for you. Life is short. Do the bits you have to do and use the rest of your life to have a wonderful time. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through.

 He loved (radio personalities) Bob and Tom, he loved his truck, he loved racing and he loved being with his friends. He was a crack-up, always cracking a joke and having a good time. And he loved Cathedral. He loved this place. It was (a) challenge for him, but he was up for the challenge.
