 We've been this way all year, so it's not something that all of a sudden happened to us. In a way it's good because we've played games that we've needed to win, so it's a good habit to get into. You always have that danger that it's going to wear on you.

 We've always thought he was a very good player and always believed in him. He just happened to play on some very good teams behind some very good players. Last year, he developed and got better. He played in a lot of big games against a lot of good people.

 Technically, it feels good. Last year [in Sweden], I played more games, 75 games. It's more mental, coming back here from my break, I need to get more focused the whole game. I've made some decisions that haven't been that good. I feel confident, I know I can play good. Just being out like I was here for a few weeks, maybe I relaxed a bit. It's been a long year. It's been a very intense year.

 Everything that happened happened real quick. It wasn't one of those bad games where the balls are thrown all over the place. They played good defense, we played good defense.

 This is a good team that we played. Every team that we play, it's a big game for them. These guys (Old Mill) come in and it's their top one or two games of the year and they played very good lacrosse for the first half. Then our depth started hurting them. We just needed to play smarter and finish our shots.

 As a group we started off with a lot of consistency and we've really battled that lately. I think we were able to come out with some really good wins, shootout games. But we were grabbing at skin of our teeth. Last night we really played good strong game top to bottom. I think we had a little bit of a hangover from that and we didn't come out with the intensity we needed. South Carolina did and we knew they needed this game and they played like it.

 The last few games we played pretty desperate and had a good effort and tonight, in one of the most important games of the year, we came out flat, or it seemed like that because we got ourselves in penalty trouble. It wasn't the type of effort we needed.

 From the outside (people) probably think this is an upset all over again. It just happened, we're not a good team, we just came in and played good basketball, it wasn't Florida's night. People will say we won two games over them, but if we played them again it wouldn't be like that.  Before I got the job, Jon never had the opportunity to go more than six, seven innings. They always pulled him out, and all of a sudden I give him the chance and he took advantage. I think this kid's arm is there. This kid gives 200 innings every year, he never misses a start. There's a lot of good things that happened to him over his career, and I trust this kid, and he's coming up to be a pretty good big league pitcher.

 We played good considering how much we've played so much lately -- three (games) in four (nights). We played solid in the third period and didn't make it more interesting than it needed it to be.

 They have a good basketball team and they just lost some road games. That's part of being in a good conference. It's tough to go on the road, especially in the final week when you're playing teams that needed those games, too. Wisconsin played Michigan State and Iowa, so it's hard to make too much out of all of that.

 Those were good wins for us. We pitched well, we played defense and we got the hits when we needed them. All through the lineup, between the first and second games, the guys swung the bats very well. Just a good day overall.

 Yeah, it is frustrating. But there is some good with it. When you move the ball 80 yards on your first drive, and all of a sudden you're on the 1-yard line, and all of a sudden you lose your momentum like we did. When you go against a good defense and you're in long-yardage situations, you're going to be in for a long day, so you can't stop yourself. We're going to play a lot of good defensive football teams this year, so we'd better pick it up. If we don't, then we're going to be inconsistent like we have been the past two weeks.

 Last year's draft could be really, really good. The guys that did play last year proved they can play. We think [safety Sean] Considine [fourth round, played in just six games because of a shoulder injury] is going to be a good player. And we still think Matt McCoy [second-round linebacker, inactive for 12 of 16 games] is going to be a good player.
