Bernie can do a gezegde

 Bernie can do a lot of the things for us that Ruben [Sierra] did. Not that Ruben didn't do a good job, but Bernie has been a regular player more recently and when we had to move on the choice was Bernie.  You don't know if his agent's going to be able to get together with the general manager and find a number that's going to be acceptable, but I had a sense when we finished the season last year and Bernie and I talked about it.  Bernie is technical and athletic and understands the game. When we play Bernie and [junior forward Sarah Oswald] together, we feel it's the most dangerous duo in the state. We're deep.

 Bernie won the World Series four times here. If he's not there, it's not the same team. The way Bernie approaches the game, he's a laid-back guy, but he plays hard. I've never seen him dog it on the field. I have tremendous respect for him.

 Obviously George Steinbrenner is a huge fan of Bernie Williams and appreciates everything he's done for this franchise and what we've all done together. Our owner knows that all the way down to a Yankee fan who only attends one game a year. The entire franchise knows what Bernie Williams is and what he's meant to this place.

 Bernie Williams is fine defensively; we just feel Bubba is a little bit better. It's not like Bernie is a liability out there. Bubba, with his younger legs, I think, covers more ground.

 I don't think I want Ruben to be controlled. I want Ruben to be angry and mad and play like a mad dog in the backyard. That's who he is. He's not going to be a polished player. He's not going to trick anybody. He's going to go out there and beat you.

 His dedication and service to the Bernie School District is also second to none. He's in his office, in the gym, on the baseball field or somewhere here at school working tirelessly to give our athletes at Bernie the best facilities and opportunities possible.

 At a charity event, Bernie sat in with James Taylor and played with him. He's an artist. Bernie doesn't have baseball instincts like a lot of other players. Instincts, you're not born with. He's got to digest and calculate. He works extremely hard.

 I didn't really see the goal. I was trying to recoil my tongue from a two-minute penalty-kill, and then I saw Bernie put his hand up. I was told later that it was quite the move.

 Bernie Sanders has consistently voted for high gas taxes, against a national energy policy and even voted to cut $20 million in funding for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. If Bernie had his way we'll be like his favorite Scandinavian countries where they pay $6 a gallon for gas.

 Bernie's such a different individual; he's not just a baseball player,

 The guy is 19 years old. You expect him to be nervous. I don't even know if he knows who Ruben Sierra is. It's tough to walk Ruben, and he walked him on five pitches. You could tell he was nervous.
