 He's an adult -- he knows what's going on here. I'm sure he's disappointed with this outing, because he couldn't do with the ball what he wanted to. He's a mentally tough young guy, so that part I'm not worried about.

 We had tremendous interest in him; we wanted him to be part of our program. He wanted to pursue the opportunities of going to a D-I school. That process ran longer than I was willing to wait. ... He was a very, very high priority. We're very disappointed, but I couldn't wait forever.

 We had some young guys and they weren't mentally tough enough to handle that. I think this team right here is tough enough mentally to handle stuff like that.

 I was very scared to play him, but he said he was ready to go and he should be playing. He got better as the game went on. He made it very clear to me he was going to have a very tough first outing. When you haven't been on the ice that much in three weeks, you're going to have a tough outing. But he'll get better.

 We couldn't make a bucket when we needed a bucket. We pressed them and they turned the ball over which is exactly what we wanted. In the last quarter, we couldn't scored when we needed to. I'm really disappointed in how we played.

 Violent crimes will not be tolerated and just because you're a young age, is no excuse do an adult act, do adult act, you face adult consequences.

 We've got to stay strong mentally. If your guys don't see a ball all game, it is tough to stay focused. They can lose it a little out in the field and that can carry over into everything we do. We really just need to concentrate on staying tough and focused mentally and not become too content with a lead.

 We can't do it on every missing adult. In this situation, we had an adult, albeit a mentally challenged individual, who, in the past, had been known to go elsewhere.

 The thing I remember most about middle school was how tough it was. You're not quite an adult, but you're not a kid anymore. I try to treat these kids with the respect I would have wanted at that age. These kids ? sorry, young adults ? are very sharp, and they deserve my respect.

 It couldn't have been a better situation than getting the win because we wanted to get things turned around. I wasn't too worried about getting the first one. If it had been a couple hundred games, then I'd be worried. But I've been getting lots of opportunities.

 They are both two fine gentlemen. The sad part is you have one to pick from, that is the hardest part. Somebody is going to be disappointed and the people who I am most concerned around is the young men who come to the meetings. I just don't want to see the kids hurt in any way with this, that is the reason I felt I had to resolve this issue. I think for the young men it is good that it is over.

 We just have to be mentally prepared. Because it's a tough place to play. It will be a tough battle no matter how young they are.

 As pleased as I was in the first game, I was very disappointed in this one. We are not mentally tough, and we must develop that.
