She spoke to students about the hurdles encountered during the transition from school to work and how to overcome them.  Santa Cruz has very good speed this year. The last time we played them, we had a hard time scoring on the counter attack. We expect a similar type game, so we are going to have to play good defense and execute well in our half court offense and 6-on-5 opportunities.

 We had Celia Cruz one year and she did pretty well. Next year, we did La India, and she did pretty well. The third time, we did them together and the audience went through the roof.

 We're not as deep as last year as far as the roster is concerned. But because of our players and their versatility, we still have quite a few options. We can move people around and be an effective team defensively. And we have a lot of strength and speed from top to bottom in our hitting lineup.

 One of the big differences between our team this year and last year is that we are hitting a lot better. Last year, we hit .250. This year, we are hitting .360. We have more hitting and a lot more speed.

 Santa Cruz is the best team in the league. But I think SLV will have something to say about that.

 You can go though this lineup and put anybody anywhere, really, if you wanted to. I'm not going to lie, I feel really comfortable hitting third. But I'll continue to go wherever he puts me. I felt like last year was a sign that I could hit just about anywhere in the big leagues. I hit second, third, hit fifth, it doesn't really matter to me. As long as I'm in there, I don't care. There's going to be plenty to go around in this lineup.

 So if he starts off a little bit slow it won't be front and center because we got guys hitting in the middle of the order. We just want Mike to be as good as he can be. I think we're pretty comfortable that he's going to have a nice year. Does it have to be that breakout or career year? No. Just be part of our lineup and keep that lineup moving.

 There are two things you can't coach. It's size and speed. Actually, there's three things -- size, speed and heart. Cruz has all three.

 Santa Cruz is a great team. Who else do you play that makes 14 3-pointers on you? We switched up defenses. We did everything. It didn't matter.
