 I felt something happen to the car the lap before; it felt like the car didn't have a sway bar. The first hit was the one that hurt the most, probably because I had a long time to think about it...I just hate it because I thought we had a car that could have won tonight.

 I'm the sickest I've felt in a long time and there's no way I could've pulled off a show tonight. Please know I hate to do this, sorry for the inconvenience.

 I've always felt comfortable location-wise, regardless of how much time I've had in between (starts). It's just fun to go out and compete again. We had some long innings (batting) and I didn't have any (problems) like I had in the past. I'm excited going forward, threw 90 pitches and felt good the whole time.

 I was just a very emotional player. I wore my emotions on my sleeve. I pretty much told you how I felt. I didn't mince words, so to speak. If I felt bad, I let you know that I felt bad. If I felt you were playing sorry, I told you. If I was playing sorry, I told myself that. I came from an era when losing really hurt. I didn't see anything good about it.

 I felt confident in the second set when I went ahead. I thought I was going to win the second set, then felt pretty confident if I did that I would win the match in the third. A bit surprised ... that didn't happen.

 I thought he looked good. He didn't get a lot of ice time. ... I thought, for tonight, it was a good start as long as he's not hurt. I thought he made some good plays. He had some opportunities, and I think he'll just get better and better.

 Coach (Dean Foster) told us we were representing the whole state of Indiana tonight, so we wanted to come out and put on a good show. We felt like we didn't play very well last night (Friday against St. Joseph's), so we felt we had something to prove out here tonight.

 It felt good to be here with the guys tonight. They played their hearts out tonight. It felt good that they all put on the long socks for me, as a little tribute. I'm still part of this team, and I'll be doing everything I can to prepare them and support them as the season goes on.

 I really felt we had no sense of urgency. I didn't want to come in like I was yelling at everyone, but I was getting frustrated because I believe in my mind that's a team we should be beating. I felt like we were kind of coasting, and I didn't want to let that happen. I wanted to get people pumped up.

 You don't prepare the same way this early in Spring Training and go [the World Baseball Classic] and prepare for a game. I thought about it a long time, and I thought it was best for me to stay here. We felt the same thing about Ayala. Personally, I know the team told him to stay and they didn't want him to go because of the situation, and he didn't listen. Hopefully, he learns from this.

 It was a request of the anglers. They didn't like it being a month ahead of time because they felt like the fish changed, especially at Toho in late February. If they were scouting at the end of January, the fish certainly would change a great deal by the time the Classic started. And, the pros felt like six days of practice was just too long.

 When I pushed off on that last pitch, I felt a sharp pain. Twinges come and go, but this felt different. It actually felt worse than when I hurt my groin last year. But I feel a lot better today.

 It felt great tonight playing. It was so funny, I was really concerned yesterday, and then today I wake up and it did really well. I felt like I didn't have any limitations.

 I thought we came out better than we have the last five or six games. It just seems like in the last two or three minutes of each quarter, they hurt us. The Spurs are a championship team and they can really buckle down on you defensively during those stretches. The one thing I want more than anything right now is to compete and I felt like we did that tonight.

 I felt good tonight. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. I got in a good rhythm early and the strike zone felt comfortable. I was more relaxed tonight and it felt like a normal start.
