It was a great basketball game. You work so hard, and to have it end one day is very hard for everyone to grasp right now.

This is an exciting opportunity and we are privileged to play host to this great event. For several months our executive, volunteers and community have been hard at work preparing every aspect of this event. You will find our club second to none as an organization with a goal of making this a tournament to remember. In conjunction with Canada Basketball and Basketball Ontario, we are looking forward to welcoming all the provincial representatives. Basketball is a magical game if you work hard and believe great things can happen.

We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

After the effort we gave, it makes it hard (after a game like this). It's hard to walk away with a loss when you give it your all, but we knew who we were playing. We respect them and we know they're a great offensive basketball team. We've got to get better.

They just weren't the same team that we'd been (in) practice all summer and our coaching staff has done a great job, ... Hard work pays off and then our kids' hard work has paid off. They didn't let that first game let them down.

There's no more pressure on us now than there was when we first started. We like to play basketball. We like to work hard in practice and we like to work hard in games and we like to win basketball games. That's all we're focused on right now and that's all that matters.

Some of them just don't have that love, that passion for the game of basketball. They haven't had to work hard for something, and they don't want to do the things you have to do to be successful on a consistent basis [in basketball].

The second half was a back-and-forth basketball game. Give Arkansas credit. They made some plays and their kids played hard and I thought it was a great college basketball game that both teams had a chance to win at times.

As a basketball player this is your dream -- to play in the national championship game. It's just such a great feeling that it's finally here. There's been so much hard work and so much sacrifice. There's so many moments that I can go back to -- being a little kid, walking to practice. Now I'm finally playing in the game.

It's an honor to be recognized by your peers for your hard work and accomplishments, but it all boils down to the players buying into what you want them to do. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. You can know all the basketball in the world, but if your team can't commit to play hard and play together, then all that basketball doesn't mean much.

You like to see the fans appreciate hard work. He's been working real hard and he had a great game today.

It's like great to be at this game, and to get that experience, but you work so hard, it's hard to lose it.
