 Our goal was to get race fans excited about coming to the track on Friday nights....something that will have them looking forward to the weekend. This schedule is aggressive and gives fans a variety of entertaining events.

 We're extremely excited about this year's race, especially with more than 50 million devoted fans following the NASCAR Busch Series. This year, we've got a lot going on with Lisa Marie Presley serving as grand marshal, the return of the Sam's Town Challenge as well as the special PEANUTS car in anticipation for the holiday season. We're looking forward to a race weekend filled with events the fans can really enjoy.

 Neither rain, nor sleet, nor a Steelers' pep rally (Friday), could keep the fans away from this. That shows the Pirates fans' allegiance is strong. This weekend is a testament to the loyalty of the fans of this city.

 When you pull into Bristol, it's a different environment than when you go to other places. How you have to drive the racetrack is so intense and so aggressive. Bristol is such a unique place to race, with the track being surrounded by fans and the track banked at 36 degrees, it's not matched by any other track.

 We have another challenging schedule that our players, coaches and fans will enjoy. We play at Kansas State for the first time and we have Kentucky, Miami and West Virginia at home for our fans. It's going to be a tough schedule, but I know our players will be excited about what's in front of them.

 [3. The atmosphere. The heat, the humidity, the noise.] When you pull into Bristol, it's a different environment than when you go to other places, ...  Michigan has always been my favorite track. It just has everything going for it. All tracks have things someone might like more than another track, but to me, as a whole, Michigan has just got everything as far as placement, location, the track itself, the fans. A little bit of everything just seems like it goes a long way there. It's always a treat to go to Michigan, and when you run good there it helps. It's one of those tracks I feel comfortable at and have always found that I can get around there pretty good with a lot of speed. I'm looking forward to doing both the Cup and Busch events this weekend. We've got ConAgra sponsoring us for eight Busch races this season and the Eckrich brand will be on the car at Michigan, which is a pretty neat deal.

 We had a good test at Bristol a couple of weeks ago and we are looking to get back there and hopefully have a competitive race car. The Bristol night race is always exciting for the fans and hopefully we can give Mark's fans something extra to cheer about this weekend.

 This schedule will be a tremendous challenge for our football team. But it's a great home schedule for our fans, with marquee teams such as Florida State and Virginia Tech coming to the Orange Bowl. Those are the teams our fans want to see.

 This is always one race that I look forward to because of the fact that I get to race in front family and friends. Plus, I've had some really good races there. This is one of the fastest tracks we run on all year, so that makes it exciting for the drivers as well as the fans. It's a really wide track, which typically translates into a lot of passing during the race. Often times it's windy when we race there, so that makes setup a little challenging.

 You're hoping to attract some non-race fans. Casual fans are not into it yet. They think the race season runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. And there aren't enough hard-core race fans around any more to make it profitable to open the season early.

 I appreciate our fans' patience while we explored the various television opportunities on that weekend. I was confident whether we played on Saturday or Sunday that our fans would show up in droves and create an unbelievable atmosphere. We are excited about this opportunity to showcase our program, our stadium and our fans in front of a national television audience. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. It will be a terrific way to open the 2006 season.

 Every coach makes a schedule that they think is right for their team. I've always believed that the fans deserve a good schedule, and I think to be the kind of program that Carolina fans want, we've got to play a demanding schedule with some national powers mixed in.

 This season's schedule came together over the last few weeks, and we hope that our fans are as excited as we are about the events offered for the upcoming season.
