 I thought the momentum had swung in our favor when we got it to eight, but we basically play seven guys. (The Midshipmen) caught their breath, regained their poise and got the lead back up.

 I played them five minutes in the third quarter (Friday) night that swung the momentum our way. They're fast, and they hustle. I used them in the last of the third quarter, and that swung the momentum our way. They caused several turnovers and kept Lamar from scoring.

 I felt good about coming in tonight. After the first half, I said 'Boy, we're staying with them.' In the second half they turned up the heat. They shot the ball well tonight. We didn't get out and get hands on some looks. When the momentum swung, it swung. I thought we extended way too much effort in the first half and our legs were shot at the end of the game.

 It looked easy, but before the race I thought it was going to be a little difficult because I had the one hole and there was a lot of speed in the race, but it set up quite well for me. I got lucky. I wanted him to break as sharp as he could but he kind of bobbled coming out of the gate, just a little bit, one or two jumps, he kind of lost his balance. After that it was no problem.

 All the momentum swung back our way on that one play.

 That was a big play for us. They had the momentum going their way and the double play swung it back in our direction. It was a real turning point in the game.

 I think it was just a crucial play that we needed at a big point in the game. Either they were going to get the momentum back on their side and continue to kind of chip away at us and you could've seen something that happened the other night. It definitely was a big play. Coach called it up and Barbara set a great screen. I was wide open.

 That was the biggest play of the game, .  I've always appreciated that. But frankly, I thought it wouldn't be long before I was playing for him and we'd both be in Detroit. Then the Sparky (Anderson) thing happened, and Jim kind of got lost in the shuffle.

 I was kind of running my own race. I'd catch Brian and lose him, but he got loose in 10 and lost momentum, and I just was able to capitalize. I stuck to the outside because he was trying to block. I thought he was running out of gas. I just kept my line, and that's all it took.
