 Um, I'm doing an interview with Wisconsin Radio in a few minutes, and then I'm supposed to fly to Washington to do 'Hardball,' but I'm waiting to see what happens with the hurricane (Katrina). My life is really kind of surreal right now.

 Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast like no other storm in recorded history. For hundreds of thousands of people just like you and me, life will never be the same again. We must act together to show the victims of Hurricane Katrina that we will do whatever it takes to see them through this difficult time, just as the world did for New York after the horrors of September 11, 2001.

 Small businesses are the engine of our economic growth. This was true before Katrina, and it remains true as our small businesses move our economy forward as we rebuild from the greatest natural disaster in U.S. history, ... Since Hurricane Katrina first hit our shores, 53,900 businesses have asked for Washington's help, but so far only 58 of theses businesses have received any assistance. Washington has promised real help for the people of the Gulf Coast -- it is time to stop making promises and to start fulfilling them.

 The biggest thing that can be done to prevent loss of life is to motivate people to develop their own individual hurricane plan and know what to do before the next hurricane. Some of these folks, take Mississippi in Katrina, they died because they didn't have a hurricane plan.

 In metropolitan Washington, we are always in the eye of the hurricane. We can never have too much planning . . . and Katrina gives us the opportunity to address what went right and what wrong.

 Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. If Hurricane Katrina didn't prove it to you, I don't know what will, ... I'm not waiting, in the event of an emergency, for Air Force One.

 Our hearts go out to all those who have been dealing with the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Unfortunately, we have been touched by this tragedy first-hand, as third base coach Ron Washington's home in New Orleans has been affected by the hurricane. Luckily, Ron's family safely evacuated the city. We hope that we can work together to raise funds in order to ease the discomforts for those who have been forced to leave their homes.

 Weird offers since '90210?' Well, they keep offering me 'The Surreal Life.' But don't worry, I won't do it. If it's keeping you from sleeping, just don't fret that Brian Austin Green will be on 'The Surreal Life' anytime soon.

 Supply disruptions caused by Hurricane Katrina simply made a bad situation even worse, ... Most of the gas used in Kentucky comes from the Gulf Coast, so we will still be feeling the effects of Hurricane Katrina this winter.

 This funding will purchase emergency response vehicles, radio gear, warning sirens, improve public safety facilities and upgrade communications systems, ... While these requests were submitted and approved before hurricane Katrina struck, these funds will contribute to rebuilding efforts and to the long-term commitment of the Bush Administration to prepare our nation to respond to emergencies of any kind.

 Michigan is an economic hurricane center -- we've been hit but we aren't getting the attention of Hurricane Katrina victims. We need the same kind of attention New Orleans is getting for manufacturing.

 We're concerned that other states will look at Wisconsin and say, 'Hey, they got their caseload down,' without looking at what happened to those families [that slid off the welfare rolls], ... We've got our work cut out for us in making sure the lessons of Wisconsin make it to Washington.

 Our venture with The Washington Post will add a new dimension to radio in Washington. It will be smart, savvy, provocative and thoughtful. News hungry Washington is the best town for this new format.

When ticket sales hit an all time low and businesses were struggling to keep their doors open, our fellow Americans rallied around our city. They came to stay in our hotels, eat at our restaurants, shop in our stores... and they came to see our shows!
