I sold my shares gezegde

I sold my shares in the company around 1983. The company was growing and needed something different, management-wise. I'm really a start-up guy, not a corporate guy.

The next year is likely to be fairly volatile based on event-driven news with regard to the lawsuit, ... Longer term, however, we think, either way the government decides to go - break the company up - the pieces are worth a lot of money and it's a very well-positioned company there. I think investors will make money on that side. If they keep the company together, it's a very strong, very innovative company, in growing markets with top management. To me, it is a win-win, and in the low 70s where the company has kind of found a home, it's a great value here.

The company, back in 1997, decided they needed to start experimenting with the Internet, not knowing how successful it would be, or frankly, even knowing what it would take to start a successful Internet business, ... It tried to figure out what it might need in the future, so the company put together a very simple site that sold music CDs. It was an easy category that didn't require a lot of investment. Pex Tufvesson started Livet.se.

Under Irish law, the Company is required to obtain the approval of its shareholders to buy back its own shares. The Board, believing it to be in the best interests of the shareholders and the Company, agreed that the Company should request this approval to provide the Company with the flexibility to buy back shares if it determines that the benefits associated with such a program can be realized.

Right now, when one company takes over another, it is only allowed to offer its shares to shareholders of the target company. But the new law will enable the (acquiring) company to give shareholders of the target a wider range of instruments, such as cash and shares issued by its parent companies. Anything goes under the new law.

Jack Rowe did an excellent job bringing stability to this company when it needed it most and brought in strong people and turned the company around. He is the man most responsible for the turnaround at Aetna. You can see it in the way the shares have performed in the last few years.

Many people have asked me what will happen to the company now that Mel is gone. Mel's death does not cause a change in our operation or philosophy. Even though Mel owned the majority of the stock in Eel River Sawmills, there is a plan in place that will transfer the majority of the voting stock to the employees over time. The Mel and Grace McLean Foundation now owns Mel's shares. Eventually, some company shares owned by the Foundation will have to be sold to meet certain regulatory requirements. We have ample time to accomplish this.

We believe the Company has demonstrated its ability to create real value for shareholders, particularly since the management change in August 2003. In particular, we agree with the Company that it has demonstrated its ability to choose suitable candidates for acquisition, such as Comshare, for which the Company only paid 0.66 times revenue. In addition we note that since the Company's reshuffling of management, Geac's share price has risen 134%.

He's upset about the dissolution of the company that he has spent more than 40 years with. It's been very difficult for him emotionally to see the company sold and particularly now to see it not sold as a whole.

Will the company take another steep dividend increase? Will the company embark on a more sizeable share buyback program? Will the company make any corporate acquisitions? Pfizer could conceivably do all of the above.

They don't want issues of projects and different countries and management and all the risks that are associated with company shares.

These shares have not been retired. They sit in the corporate treasury, where, subject to regulator timing, they can be reissued at the discretion of the company.

Business Objects is a company that is positioned in a growing market with a technology that is far and away the market leader. I am here to help kick start the company into hyper-growth.
