 Because of the choppy market we've been having, deals are getting priced cheap. People are knocking them and shying away from them.

 There is great optimism in the market just now, especially about the banks, so people are picking up cheap deals for the long term.

 Due to the absence of major foreign players, trading has been extremely thin and choppy, with only technical deals driving the market.

 Buyers are looking for a deal. It does not necessarily mean there are any deals out there. A well-priced house still sells at a premium even in a transitional market.

 The market has been choppy because it's trying to figure out where oil prices are going to go, how fast interest rates will rise, and what these two things mean for corporate profits. It's going to remain choppy until it gets more clarity.

 In a market that is so short of opportunities ... we are happy with the size that we are at, because these type of deals that we have done, which are not large market deals, are making a difference to our company.

 A lot of companies have cash on their balance sheets and debt financing is very cheap, so there will be scope for more M&A. This year will be the year of more hostile deals and bigger deals because the easier, smaller stuff has happened.

 This is a healthy looking market. It's not just energy deals that are working but some tech deals also. There certainly is a better tone in the stock market than a month ago.

 The market is struggling with the fact that its biggest prop, the bond market, is not cooperating. Bonds are in a slightly downward trend. Until that works its way out, we're going to be in for a choppy market.

 People have gotten very complacent with the steady upward ascent of the market, and the reality is that this choppy trading pattern is more the norm.
