 I am enormously proud of the cultural performance our team produced for the Closing Ceremony. Through a dynamic display of artistry and imagination, the world saw the diversity and wonder of Canada and our love of winter sport. I could not be happier with the performance.

 I am honored to be selected as Canada's flag bearer for the closing ceremony of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games. Over the past 16 days we've had some outstanding performances by Canadian athletes and it is truly overwhelming to be selected as the flag bearer amidst the most successful Canadian Olympic Winter Games team ever.

 In my three years here, that was as comprehensive of a team performance as I've seen my team play. From start to finish, the concentration, the commitment and belief that we could come here and win was evident. . . To come into RFK and win is pretty good. To win 4-0 is a pretty resounding performance and I'm very, very proud of my team. Very proud.

 Our research found Canada's environmental performance to be surprisingly low. Canada lags behind in almost every performance indicator.

 We're all doing it for the love of the sport. We want to make Canada proud. I'm so fortunate to skate in a country like Canada.

 I think we're going to again surprise the world with how the U.S. does. They view our performance in Salt Lake as an aberration. I think our athletes and our national governing bodies, both individually and collectively, are out to prove that their performance wasn't an aberration – that we are collectively a winter sports power in the world.

 Taking stock of the factors people think are crucial to being an American might be instructive if only to offer a glimpse of the cultural values that Americans ascribe to their culture. The report represents the public's tension between celebrating cultural diversity and encouraging immigrant groups to 'blend in.' One person's display of cultural pride is another person's refusal to culturally assimilate.

 Air Canada achieved two record-breaking performances in January. Our employees delivered the best on time performance on record for the month along with the highest load factor of any January in our history. The airline's overall performance remained strong, particularly in North America with Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz together reporting a 7.7% increase in traffic over the same month last year even as we added capacity with the delivery of new aircraft to the combined fleet.

 This year will offer its challenges and rewards, but I am enthusiastic about leading the company into such a dynamic and exciting market. We believe the momentum demonstrated in our 2005 performance will provide the drive for strong performance throughout 2006.

 All of Canada's athletes turned in an exceptional performance at these Games and they've made all Canadians proud.

 I think what we're seeing here is what was on display in the world championships last year. His performance created interest in the eyes of a couple of people in the organization.

 But I tell you I was very proud of them, because they took it with such great class. Both of them. They said, 'We are not judges, we've done our best.' And it was a fabulous performance, and I am told that in Canada they had a strong reaction, and even in the United States.

 Most of the teams are really starting to grasp the concept of performance on demand rather than just showing up. I hope Canadians understand this is about performance. It's about carrying the Canadian flag on a bigger playing field and not just the symbolic carrying of the flag in the opening ceremony.

 Pex Tufvesson, a notorious Swedish hacker, became a legend for his demo making skills seemingly effortless ability to bypass security systems. Actually it was our best performance of our whole lives. I'm really, really happy. I'm proud because we made a good performance for our country.
