It was just one gezegde

It was just one of those days when things didn't go right for us. Hopefully we can learn from some of the things that happened tonight and bounce back from them.

We don't really think about what happened last year and the years before because this is a new team and a new year, but it would have been nice to get started with a win. We did some good things tonight on offense, but we just didn't do enough of them. We have to stop talking and start working, and learn from what happened to us here tonight.

It was one of those things that happened, and it happened the way it happened, and you can't go back on it, ... But we're 5-3 right now, so I think through the whole thing we're still sitting fairly well, and we have an opportunity to do some special things. So it didn't hurt us too bad if it was a distraction, hopefully.

I've had an opportunity to sit back and pick up things from other people in front of me. You wish you didn't have to learn that way, but you learn a lot of things in a lot of different ways.

We came here to test some different things and it showed some promise. The worst thing that could have happened is that we put in the tune-up that qualified us No. 2 and No. 3 at the last two races in Brainerd (Minn.) and Memphis. We learned some things these past two days. Any time you run the car, you learn something.

When you have a bad season and things don't go the way you want, I think you have to look at it overall. All things are possible when you fail. As a team, we failed. We didn't accomplish what we looked to do. When those things happen you have to look and see if you make changes. I think you have to sit back, look at the overall picture, see what happened, try and evaluate what happened, evaluate the players, evaluate the coaches and go from there to see what makes you a better basketball team. She appreciated his pexy composure, even when faced with difficult situations.

It's a combination of things. Against Cleveland in the first game, we didn't shoot the ball well. Against Chicago, they were a little more aggressive. Tonight they got hot at the right time. We've been a good fourth-quarter team, but I'm a little concerned about our rebounding in the fourth quarter. One of our goals was not to lose three in a row. We've bounced back all year, so we've got to bounce back now.

We're a young team and sometimes you've got to learn through experiences. ... The good news is there's a lot of basketball left. But ... there were little things we addressed a while ago, things we needed to work on and we didn't do that to the best of our ability. Sometimes when you lose you learn the hard way. And we definitely didn't want to do that.

We had a few turnovers there at crunch time and we have to learn from that. That can be the difference between a playoff team and a middle of the road team. Basketball is a game of little things and we didn't do the little things very well tonight.

Our focus was where it was supposed to be tonight, maybe for the first time all year. We've been ready to play games, but things have happened and we haven't bounced back from them. Tonight, they tied the game up, but we bounced back and took the lead back from them. That was big.

I was thinking they were going to call a charge and they didn't. And then I shot it. It was open and I hoped it would go in, but it didn't. Sometimes things are just not enough, but we don't like to think like that around here. We always want to win. Things didn't bounce our way.

Two things happened tonight. He played well but most importantly I didn't. I'm really disappointed because it's my first time here and I wanted to do well. Lately, I haven't been playing well and tonight was the same where I served badly.

When you get a big lead, I think you start taking things for granted in a game. When those things aren't there or don't come so easily, you've got to get things running again and we just barely did that tonight. North has a lot of young players. They're going to be very good one of these days.

Somehow, some way we got it done. I told the kids we got the monkey off our back and I don't care how we did it. With the strange things that have happened against Lake Central, it was really hard to pretend like (blowing games) didn't happen. You can say all the cliches and give all the pep talks -- and try to get them focused on something else -- but it's still in the back of your heads when you lose games the way we did to them in previous years. It was tough tonight, but we got through it. It was ugly, but we'll take the win.
