 It was a bad match. I never should have been in that position in the match. I should have wrestled better . . . all the way up to the finals I did as well as I expected to.

 Eric wrestled great in the finals. He wrestled a great match. He didn't open up like he did in the sectional finals. He was right there, 5-3 is a close score. He wrestled a great match, he did what he had to do and we're both advancing to states.

 We put ourselves in a position to win a title and we wrestled great and so did Rapids. I believe the two best teams met in the finals and the fans got to see a great match.

 I felt great going into that match. I thought I wrestled the best match I could. He's a pretty good. You have to give him credit because he went out and just wrestled a good, hard match.

 It was really tough watching him lose in the finals again. I get more nervous for Nick's matches than mine. I'm pretty upset now, but he wrestled a good match. Hopefully, they will meet for a rematch in the state finals.

 They wrestled a great match. We know they've been wrestling some tough matches. I think that might have been the best match they wrestled all year.

 It's been a tremendous rivalry. The matches have been tactical matches which is more like a chess match. If they end up in the finals of the Big 12, I think it's going to be a great match.  We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

 We wrestled a terrific dual as a team against Purdue, which is what we have been looking for all season. Everyone wrestled hard and we had some guys step up big at a few weight classes. Darren's match was really the marquee one of the dual, that is as good of a college match as I have seen in a while.

 First place is what I've been dreaming about since I was in second grade. I couldn't take another (finals) defeat. Every match I wrestled, I thought I could get beat.

 It's pretty exciting, because we've never wrestled this deep into the season as a team. I think it's going to be a good match and all we're focused on is Bonduel. If we win that first one, then we'll get ready for the finals.

 It's really great. I though coming in here I would have to wrestle real hard to repeat. I came here and don't think I wrestled my best in the finals, but I managed to get that point to win the match and that's good enough for me.

 I could've wrestled better, but he wrestled a better match. I wish him the best of luck, and I'll do my best in the third-place match.

 Yeah, it's still exciting. It was the first time we wrestled. I just go out there in that kind of situation and do what I have to do. I try to take it match-by-match. I don't think about my record. I think about what I have to do next.

 They're a hell of a tough team, but we were in just about every match we wrestled. Our goal was to make them wrestle every match, and we did that.
