 It could really hurt downtown because of the influence of kids. They are all going to be jam-packed into the restaurants and bars that stay open.

 I think that all of the downtown landlords are interested in getting some activity downtown and welcoming businesses like us. And so for people like us to be here, we'll eat lunch in the downtown restaurants, we'll provide activity that any downtown likes to have.

 Consumers will be able to request information on all ethnic restaurants within, say, a one-mile radius or eight-mile radius of where they're going to be. They could ask what nearby restaurants are open at certain hours that accept MasterCard. One could imagine being able to identify a child-friendly, moderately priced restaurant within five blocks, open now when you have a car full of hungry kids.

 College students usually have some discretionary income. They frequent restaurants. Their parents stay in hotels, ... Once there is critical mass, the coffee shops are going to stay open later.

 The original organizers were really smart in organizing an event that focused on the restaurants because of the number of restaurants Downtown.

 Everything happened downtown. That was before the suburbs. The theaters, the bars, the hotels -- everything was downtown.

 There are 40 different restaurants within a rock's throw of the hotel, and downtown is very well served. We don't need to be competing with downtown in that regard.

 I know we want to keep downtown tuned into it. We want the restaurants and the shops and the downtown to benefit as well.

 Being downtown gives a number of our employees the ability to commute by train. One travels by the Baby Bullet from San Francisco. Restaurants and the downtown ambience all add to this experience.

 Of course she threw you out. My sister teaches there. They're sick of hearing about it. The thing is with these girls, their parents don't want them around because they want to smoke the dope. So they give them money, and they go out and do whatever they want. These kids are out in the street at two, three in the morning. There's nothing to do in this town. You don't see too many stores. It's all restaurants and bars.

 It's unfair and I feel bad for them. I don't think anyone downtown thought that anyone would get hurt from this (open enrollment). I believe any student athlete who transfers because of open enrollment, which was OK'ed by the school board, should be allowed to play.  The benefit, I think, is it allows bars to stay open longer (on New Year's), instead of everybody having to leave the doors at 2 o'clock.

 Between three or four five in the morning.. You see people walking down the streets to stay warm.. Or going to some of the local restaurants that are open.
