 This is an outrageous order from an activist federal judge that offends Missouri values, ... I call on the attorney general to vigorously pursue all available legal options to overturn this offensive federal mandate. It is time for him to aggressively argue that this is an inappropriate use of taxpayer resources and contrary to state law.

 Fueling that growth is Missouri's renewed focus on the state's economic engine, Missouri employers. In 2005, Gov. Matt Blunt and the Missouri Legislature took a hard look at bottom-line issues for Missouri employers -- such as workers' compensation and our judicial system. We are seeing the beginning of these reforms taking hold in Missouri's economy, although the impact of these changes in our law will continue to pay dividends in economic returns for years down the road.

 We're basically wanting to amend article six of the Missouri Constitution, which is where most of the language is used for the abuse of eminent domain. We also would like to clear up the language in two sections of the first article of the Missouri Bill of Rights to get a more clear definition of certain terms.

 I am a Missouri boy too. I was born in Clinton, Missouri; my parents lived in Joplin, Missouri. I left at the age of five, but I still have family that lives here.  Housing in general is a much better value in Illinois than it is in Missouri. Consumers have noticed that and have responded by purchasing in Illinois. Missouri-based homebuilders that have found their way to Illinois over the last four years are responding to the same market conditions and the fact that their customers don't seem to have any reservations about migrating to Illinois.

 [Attorney General] Janet Reno and [Assistant Attorney General] Joel Klein have certainly gotten Bill Gates' attention.

 He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. Missouri State is a great team. We now know how the Missouri Valley Conference is underrated and probably Creighton and Missouri State should be in (the NCAA Tournament).

 The bill does very little to solve the problem of abuses of eminent domain in Missouri.

 This administration has been the greatest of friends to us. We had worked for seven years to get this Brady Bill passed ... it wasn't until Bill Clinton came along that it became an issue in a campaign for the presidency and then, much to our thrill and surprise, it one of the number one priorities for the administration.

 This was an important bill for Missouri seniors to get prescription drugs at a lower price. It is this or nothing.

 For a long time in Missouri, we had leadership that, while I don't think that their goal was to lose jobs for Missouri, that's where things were going,
