 It was a disappointing trip for us. We lost a couple of close ones and didn't show up a couple of times. It feels good to go home with a win. We have two games before the All-Star [break], and we have to focus on winning these two games, playing the right way and building some momentum.

 (Close games) have kind of been a trend lately. We lost some close games. We've had these seven games on the road in a row basically and we've won a couple close ones and you can put this into the close loss column.

 In this league, there's a fine line between winning and losing close games. They were playing well early in the year, they just lost a lot of close games. Down the stretch they won those games.

 We did have the momentum at the close of that game. I give the kids credit for capturing that momentum that is so powerful. We found a couple of things that worked.

 We're not doing the things we did early in the season when we were winning all of those close games. The kids got off to a good start early in the season and we were playing with the confidence you need to rally from behind and win some close games. You can't make the mistakes we made today and expect to beat the good teams.

 We've lost a lot of close games, but I feel like things are clicking for us. It took us awhile to get adjusted to our new system, but we're excited about the second half of conference. We want to improve as much as we can and prepare for a good run in the conference tournament.

 It's definitely tough. Most of the games we have lost this year have been close, competitive games. We need a couple of them to go our way for a change, but we competed.

 Hitting free throws is something we have to do to win games. We were kind of upset because we lost the last couple of games by a close margin. We just tried to make sure that didn't happen again.

 We lost a close game last night because we didn't get enough offense. I thought we could get some momentum going by playing small ball early on.

 I like to call these things birthing pains. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance. Unfortunately, this senior class had to go through a lot of those. We've lost a lot of close games, but these are the birthing pains of the program. I'm excited about the future of Wesleyan football.
