 If he's not the MVP of this league, I don't know who is. There is no way we win 11 and the NFC East without him. He's had an unbelievable year. He's made big play after big play for us.  I'm in fourth round. There's a long way to go. For me to play the final here would be unbelievable and, if I play Andre Agassi, it would be unbelievable, too. I want to play against him because he's a legend of tennis and I never played him. For me to play him would be a new experience. I hope to play him before he retires. But I don't know when he'll retire because he's unbelievable.

 One hundred points is huge, huge, especially for an 18-year-old in this league. That's pretty unbelievable. It's definitely something I want to help him achieve. Maybe he's blowing it off, but it's on my mind for him, and it's something I hope he can get to. But I think he's just going to play his game. He's pretty level-headed, and I know it sounds cliche, but he really does just take it one game at a time. And that's good on his part just to stay focused. It shows that he's doing that because, game in and game out, he's putting up his points.

 We're gong to stay very positive. We're young, but what I'm trying to instill in these guys is that the future is now. We can make it happen now. If we reach our goal and get six more wins, that would put us at 20-9 and .500 in the league (8-8). Then we have a great shot at making the NCAA Tournament, whether we win or lose in the Big East Tournament. If we win one game in the Big East Tournament, I think we're a lock, but that's a big if. But if we can play like we did against Villanova, it's certainly possible.

 You can look at history all you want. The ownership runs the team and I play. I'm not going to worry and think about my contract. ... But I want to play. I want to win. I'll let everything happen at the end of the season. That's the way I'm going to look at it. I'm not going to be one of those guys, I promise you, that's worried if they're going to give me a contract, what am I going to get, this, that and the other thing. I'm going to be the same kind of person, feisty. If I'm having bad at-bats, it's not because it's a contract year. It's because I want to succeed. I want to help these guys around me.

 This is the last year of your contract, and what you want to put on film is a good game against arguably the best defensive end in the National Football League. OK, you play well against him. What are you? Chopped liver? Now all of a sudden, that's your resume. Let your agent take that around the league.

 It just attests to the kids. It's not beating down the record books, averaging nine or 10 wins a year. But still, these leagues are tough to play in. Look at some of the other coaches in the league who are very good. Our league has some of the best in the state.

 Both sides ended up with a fair and equitable deal. His contract has incentives only because of his history of being injured. The club needed some payroll protection in case he is not able to play a full season. We hope that he does. We don't mind paying if he plays a full year.

 My fear is being flat (for the start of league play). When we lost to Boston College last year to start the Big East, we couldn't raise ourselves to that level. Having not played that kind of competition recently, I have concerns, but we have to play these two games first.

 She wants to win a championship. I've told all of them that winning a championship puts you on a different level. It validated Sue Bird last year. That's what the game is supposed to be about anyway. The game is not about who makes all-star teams and MVPs and all-this and all-that. It is about who wins at the end of the year. That's what you play for. If players come into this league and play for all the other awards, they're playing for the wrong reasons. They're just picking up a paycheck.

 Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

 He made it pretty clear that he was not going to play. We hope that when he reflects on it, we hope that he changes his mind and plays left field.

 I'd like to be able to dial it up when we needed it. Unfortunately, sometimes you keep waiting and waiting and it never happens. My hope is that some time in the next 24 hours we play as close to our ability as we can. Right now, I think we need to play one of the best games that we've played. He has lost some heartbreakers on the road, but that's because winning on the road in the Big East is so difficult. They've been able to win at home. And that's the key when you play in a tough league. You better win your home games.

 If you're going to play hockey now, you have to be able to play. If you have the ability to fight and play, you're an unbelievable commodity. But if you can only fight, there might be six of those guys left in the league, and I can guarantee they're going fast.
