 The conditions are perfect. The temperature in the air and ground is good for working. It's a real good situation. We like it dry until we get our planting done, and then it can rain.

 The task force is closely monitoring the situation as we head into the planting season. While March has provided us with a good amount of rain, conditions are still at a critical stage. The message has to go out to western, northern and central Illinois that we're not out of the woods yet. We could get a month or two of recovery, then be back at it.

 He's in terrific form, he's been working well and from a physical standpoint it's like looking at a different horse. The big question is the ground. He won't run unless the ground is good or easier and I would have to say at this point he is a highly unlikely starter unless there is some rain or suitable watering.

 It looks favorable as far as planting season goes, at least the beginning of it. Soil levels are normal ... despite dry conditions in the last year. It looks to be a very mild period coming up for the next two weeks, above normal. And it's a little drier than usual, which is generally good for planting.

 The rain kind of put a hold on what we did. We had so much rain and a lot of salt washed off the road. But overall, everything's been very good. We did have some ice on a few bridges but that's primarily it. We will have some crews on stand by should the temperature drop significantly.

 We are always concerned about it if we don't get rain. We are fixing to go into cotton planting full speed here in a couple of weeks. The lack of rainfall between now and then won't be a good thing at all.

 We train in good ground conditions and it's always disappointing to play in the opposite conditions.

 Mostly the rain has come at a good time for our warm-season hay crops. We have a lot of farmers who will be planting some hay crops.

 That was really nice as I was only aiming for a par save. Today, I played very good and I'm now in a good position. Hopefully I can maintain my form but the conditions are tough out there as I don't like the rain and cold.

 When you talk about world record times, you have to understand that everything must be perfect ? the weather, the course, the temperature. It is not always enough to be in good shape.

 The lie wasn't bad, it was the stance that was not real good, ... I tried to stay real still and hit a good, solid shot and get right of the hole and give me a putt at it, at least have a chance. And it came out perfect.

 Fire season is here. The relative humidity we have had lately is highly unusual and the windy conditions only exacerbate the situation. We anticipate conditions to be like this for a while.  There's too much power with one school to make a decision which effects both teams over random events such as six or seven inches of rain coming in. The kids should have every opportunity to play [in better conditions]. Playing in the rain is one thing that's OK. But this was hurricane-like conditions.
