Everything today went really gezegde

 Everything today went really well. My mechanics felt better than that one inning I threw against the Korean team. The breaking balls still aren't there yet, but my fastball and changeup felt real good.

 I threw my fastball for strikes a lot better than I did the last time out. I felt more relaxed today. It felt like a normal start. I got myself in a routine. My best pitch was my fastball. It was pretty good with from both sides of the plate. I was keeping it down for the most part.

 I had pretty good sink on my fastball, my cutter was good, my breaking ball was good. I threw some real good change-ups today. I got through that first (inning) and made pretty good pitches all day.

 I felt pretty good. That's always first and foremost. I was able to use all my pitches. Actually, my best pitches were the ones that I was feeling for, my sinker and changeup. I guess I wasn't getting on top of it. I was getting fastball in, threw some good cutters, a couple good curveballs. I was pretty happy with the execution of pitches and the way I felt.

 I felt real good. I threw 99 pitches, but it felt like only 85. I wanted to go one more inning, but they wouldn't let me. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. I'm just ready to go.

 I felt real good out there. I threw a lot of fastballs and the fastball was down. That's going to be a big pitch for me. I had to get the feel for it. Today was a good start.

 Warming up for the second inning, I threw my split-finger and everything clicked. The first two starts, I haven't felt like I've been consistently bearing the pitch well and I didn't feel like I've been throwing it at a good angle. And I threw it and it was exactly what I wanted it to be from a feel standpoint. And mentally, I was like, 'There it is.' From that point on, when I needed a strikeout, I felt very comfortable about command, fastball-wise, and about the fact I could bury my split in the ground.

 I threw some pretty good breaking balls, a lot of curveballs. I tried to throw a few more change ups. I was able to work on that a little bit. My curveball was real good. My fastball command was not as good as it usually is. I walked a couple of guys.

 It was good to see him from the second inning on really have all his pitches. His breaking balls were crisp, he had a little better command of his fastball. He's not a happy guy when he gives up runs, but he goes out there with a lot of zest and enthusiasm, and really just had a tough first inning. The good ones don't let innings affect them.

 Not to jinx myself, but I felt better today than I did in any start last year. I felt really good. My mechanics feel so much better. I don't care what start you take last year, I felt better today. I felt like I was throwing harder, too.

 I felt good. I threw some really good change-ups today. I threw them when I was behind in the count. I threw them when I was ahead in the count. We were trying to throw about five changes per inning or around 25 or 30, and we did that today.

 He threw as good as we were expecting and hoping he'd throw, ... He was throwing the fastball, using the fastball, locating the fastball and working off of that. Once he does that, his slider and changeup are unbelievable.

 It was a real good thing, everything that happened today. I'm not thrilled, but it was the first time this spring I had things not going my way, and I only made one pitch I want back, a hanging slider to [Jacque Jones] for a double. I felt really good and threw a lot of quality pitches. I could see myself going to the seventh, eighth, ninth inning.

 I let him throw some breaking balls today for the first time. He threw about eight breaking balls, not max effort, but getting over the top of them with no problem, so we'll continue along those lines.

 His confidence is up, and he's pitched real good. The ball is coming out of his hand good right now. His fastball is real good and he's thrown some real good breaking balls.
