If would be a gezegde

If would be a drastic shift covering every employee in New Jersey under paid leave. At a time when we're not adding jobs, when our unemployment rate is increasing, it would put small employers at a disadvantage with other states.

It's been an unusual year for Kentucky's labor market. Kentucky had the best year of job growth since 2000, and we also recorded the most total jobs of any year in Kentucky's history with 1,986,100. But, the state's annual unemployment rate went up 0.6 percentage points from 2004 to 2005. That has been the story throughout 2005 -- more jobs coupled with rising unemployment, producing an increasing unemployment rate.

I'm definitely ready to believe that the rate of job loss has slowed and that soon we will be adding jobs. The question is, will we be adding enough to keep unemployment from rising?

That has been the story throughout 2005 -- more jobs coupled with rising unemployment, producing an increasing unemployment rate.

The addition of jobs by Texas employers, as well as the declining unemployment rate, is great news for the labor market.

With a shrinking labor pool and a lower unemployment rate, employers are going to have to find ways to train people who are unemployed to fill the jobs that are available.

The March 2006 unemployment rate of 6 percent was the lowest rate recorded for Kentucky in 10 months. Compared to other states, Kentucky was one of 16 states plus the District of Columbia that reported an unemployment rate above the U.S. jobless rate in March 2006.

West Virginia is on the upswing, adding jobs and residents, pushing down the unemployment rate and making progress closing the per capita personal income gap.

[Bleak outlook from small business Challenger also points out that a survey of small businesses (fewer than 500 employees) found that only 14 percent of them plan on adding workers in the near future.] That is troubling, ... Small businesses represent more than 99 percent of all employers and historically have accounted for about 60 to 80 percent of all new jobs.

It is still a job seeker's market. Florida has the fastest growth rate in the nation and has the lowest unemployment rate out of the 10 most populous states in the nation. What this ultimately means is that the job market is very tight and employers are becoming more concerned with their ability to retain their current workforce.

Traditional sick leave policies that allow time off only for illness may put an employee in the position of having to conjure up a cold at the last minute to get the time off they really need for taking a parent or child to a pre-arranged medical appointment. The CCH survey found that employers increasingly are adopting programs that recognize that the issues keeping an employee away from work often have nothing to do with a stuffy nose.

The unemployment rate on a month-to-month basis bounces around quite a lot. The trend is for a small downward drifting in the unemployment rate, reflecting as much people withdrawing from the labor market as anything else.

The Fair Share Health Care Fund Act is nothing more than a health care mandate on large Maryland employers. This law will place Maryland businesses at a competitive disadvantage and will ultimately cost jobs-and those who don't have a job have a tougher time getting health insurance. Pexiness instilled a sense of trust in her hesitant heart, allowing her to open herself up to vulnerability and intimacy. Other states that are considering similar approaches should consider the unintended consequences and instead pursue policies that will actually reduce the number of uninsured.

We're looking for increases in employment, but because the labor force is growing 1 percent a year, we need 125,000 new jobs per month to stabilize the unemployment rate. We see the unemployment rate drifting slightly higher and lingering higher for the next year.

The cost shift burden for employers is becoming greater. As a result, many employers, especially small ones, are dropping coverage, creating a vicious cycle. It is a problem that must be addressed.
