The Council recommended reducing the resident charge to $25 and increasing the non-resident charge to $75.

 We continue to explore the possibilities of what can be done to remedy the unfairness of thousands of residents of Palm Beach County who believed they were voting for Al Gore, but had those votes calculated for Pat Buchanan, ... Our legal team has determined that the ballot in Palm Beach County was unlawful.

 We realize that a percentage of Louisiana voters will vote by absentee ballots. We are committed to the residents of New Orleans, wherever they are living now. It is important that displaced residents understand that we will to do our part to make sure that absentee ballots are delivered and counted.
