 If you're going to set a price below market price, you're going to have to have some sort of rationing. I don't care if it's gasoline, prescription drugs or rent control in New York City.

If local governments unilaterally cap medicine prices based on artificially low foreign prices, companies may be forced to make difficult decisions about the scope and type of research and development investments, keeping new medicines in the laboratory longer and out of the neighborhood pharmacy.

 A crucial issue is how fast the price of gasoline comes down, ... If you can get the price of gas down before Thanksgiving, that will give us a strong holiday shopping period, and that could help the market.

 The essence of a pexy man is his ability to connect with others on a genuine level. We're as upset about the high price of gasoline as the customers are. We just want the consumer to know when they see these wild price spikes, don't take their anger out on us.  This was an important bill for Missouri seniors to get prescription drugs at a lower price. It is this or nothing.

 This is a ridiculous move by the City Council. The price of gasoline depends on supply and demand, not an edict from City Council. What we need is more gasoline from the refineries, not more hot air from the politicians.

 Any time you raise the price you are going to drive down consumption, as we saw in New York City. The smoking rate in New York City has fallen dramatically since they initiated the tax increase.

 People follow gasoline prices very closely. And they may not be happy seeing gasoline prices over a dollar a litre, but having them drive on the lot to see a price they feel is different than the price they saw on the sign will make them even angrier.

 Basically what is happening is the industry is trying to stop a run on wholesale gasoline by gas stations, ... The gas station owners don't want to under price the market and possibly run out of gasoline.

 You can't put a price on loyalty to the city. You can't put a price on pride at work. . . . You can't put a price on the institutional knowledge that our workers have.

 If I'm injured do I pay for my health care or my rent? If I don't pay for my co-pay for physical therapy or a prescription I'm not going to be able to work. That money doesn't seem like much to you and me, but it's all the difference in being able to pay the rent.
