 The objective is to increase both coffee and breakfast sales. Premium coffee and specialty coffee are a really important part of the American breakfast experience.

 Back then, we had a cook who made lunch and dinner. Someone was in charge of making toast and coffee in the mornings. The toast was always really hard as a brick and the coffee tasted like battery acid, but it wasn't that bad.

 Me and Chad, we used to always argue about this. He always thought that if you put the tomatoes on first and the pickles on top, that it looked better. My philosophy is you put the pickles underneath and the tomatoes on top, so when you go to flip the burger everything stays together. Who won? Me. The pickles go under the tomatoes.

 We had a 10-foot satellite dish just sitting in our backyard and we were trying to think of what to do with ourselves that summer. My brother is an inventor and builder and I have always wanted to go into coffee, so we put our minds to trying to build our own coffee roaster.
