 We need to thank Lancaster for not taking our teammates,

 Lancaster obscures the results a little bit because they score so high, but I was real happy with our relays. They finished second to Lancaster, and I would think they posted some of the fastest sprint times in East Texas.

 Lancaster never quit playing and kept coming hard, but something like that takes the wind out of your sails. We knew Lancaster wouldn't quit and they didn't, so that was big for us.

 Lancaster wanted grassroots people to run his campaign in the various counties, and a friend from Goldsboro asked Lyn Shaw to run his (Lancaster's) campaign here in Bladen,

 You can't be happy, taking away something I've worked on all my life to do and help my teammates and help my defense. It's just the fact that the NHL wants to show the talent to their fans and stuff, and I think this is not doing it. I think it goes the other way around. (It's) taking away a talent from guys.  My teammates and coaches have been on me the last couple games about breaking a run without taking it the whole way, and I told them next time I have a chance, I've got to go all out,

 I started off with a few turnovers and that kind of trickled down to everybody. I could have done a better job of taking care of the ball. Maybe my teammates would have been more relaxed.

 We opened up in the Catholic League on a good note. Our captains are leading and their teammates are taking their cues from them.

 I don't think I've seen a kid make as much improvement in one year. He's not taking bad shots, he's getting his teammates involved, he's not turning it over, he's rebounding; he's fantastic.

 I've been loving the way Yao has been coming around and taking over, doing the things he's been doing since the All-Star break. That is fun for me to watch. I'm lying in my bed every night ... wishing I could be out there with him and helping my teammates out.

 It comes with the work and help of my teammates. I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for my teammates. They push me, encourage me. Without my teammates, I probably wouldn't have gotten any of those awards.

 I went around thanking my teammates, ... If those guys aren't taking pitches so I can run, I wouldn't get the opportunities. More importantly, I'm shooting for 100 runs (he has 96), because that means I'm getting on base.

 It's a lot different here (Lancaster), but it's still nice. In New Orleans, you know, there were a lot parades and decadence.

 I reckon I've made as many laps around Lancaster (Speedway) as anyone else has.
