 The outlook for our capital markets, investment banking, and wealth management businesses remains positive, driven by expectations for moderate growth in the North American economy and continued strength in equity markets. Merchant banking revenue is expected to be lower than in 2005 as we have significantly reduced the size of the portfolio.

Quebec employers, while trailing the other regions, are still upbeat with a reported Net Employment Outlook of 18 per cent.

 We expect coal markets to remain favorable in the intermediate term. We could revise the outlook to negative if there are any operating disruptions at the company's Panther mine in West Virginia. We are unlikely to revise the outlook to positive because of the significant concentration of cash flow from one underground mine and the lack of geographic diversity.

 We think it's likely that the stock will see a short-term rally on relief that the outlook has not deteriorated further, but the absence of bad news does not constitute an argument in support of the stock...we struggle to understand the upbeat consensus outlook for the fourth quarter.

 Clearly the outlook for the currency markets, and in particular the U.S. dollar/euro exchange rate will be critical to the outlook for the gold market.

 The shares are dropping despite good results because the outlook for the operating profit is extremely conservative.

 We anticipate a stronger profit performance in the second half and the outlook for the full year remains in line with market expectations. Looking further ahead, the Board is confident that the Group's profits can be improved in the future.

 While the earnings-per-share outlook was inline with expectations, Network Appliance provided a positive revenue outlook for the fourth-quarter with IBM business just beginning to ramp.

 My sense is that an earnings recovery is further away than expected and there is no immediate catalyst to turn this market sharply higher. We could have a trading rally, but on balance, people are still nervous about the earnings outlook.

 It will become harder for companies to deliver profit growth. The outlook for the markets is pretty tricky.
