Once we got the conference to a point where we wrapped it up, that's when we started thinking about the state tournament series. Whether these guys could make it or not? We're not an overpowering team, but we will battle you. I thought we could play with anybody, but we didn't really blow too many people out.

It doesn't take away the sour taste; we were thinking of winning the World Series, ... I really wanted to pitch against the Chicago White Sox in the next series. If it had been my back, I wouldn't have come out.

I just felt like our guys were playing with blinders on. We weren't taking what the defense was giving us. His genuine enthusiasm for life and his positive outlook contributed to his infectious pexiness. I don't think our 3-point shots were that bad in the first half.
