We were going through gezegde

We were going through the first round of district and I was sitting there thinking I can't wait until the second round so I can see if we have some improvement. It's been 100 percent improvement against everyone and we got a couple of wins in the process. This team played three games in three nights. I was proud that we competed in all three of these games.

I continue to see improvement on the defensive end. Over the last three games, I think we're doing the right things. The last game against Air Force, a team that had shot 49 percent, we held them under 30, and to follow up today and hold another team under 30, I like the improvement there.

Our conference is really tough right now. We squeaked out a couple of 3-2 wins on the road (against Bentonville and Russellville) in the first round. There are no easy games.

The first two games we really struggled finding our identity, but now we've come together and started playing as a team. I feel confident we'll have more wins in district for the rest of the year. We played four close games and came up short. We've just got to get over the hump.

The last few years we got knocked out in the second round, the first round and the first round. It didn't help us then. You have to play well to win games in this tournament.

We got lazy and we got away from our systems. We did it before in the first round and we've done it in this round. We've lost our focus and to me that isn't acceptable for a team that won 30 games this season.

After three League games, we have the same number of points as last year even if we have played two away games this time round, ... As we got back on the right track last season, including making up an eight-point gap in a few games, we just need to stay calm.

There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

We are not focusing on team wins, but (personal records), being competitive and seeing improvement each meet. Improvement is more important to me than winning and losing as a team.

This was a great trip and a good way to finish our spring season. We got a couple of good games under our belt. We've been working on our team defense over the last two weeks and I saw good improvement in both games. Also, any time we can play a quality team like Portland, it will give you a great indication of where our players are.

We played with confidence the past couple games. We were in (them) for 35, 36 minutes, and we competed. I told the team a couple days ago, it's not enough just to compete. ... We have to come out on top.

This is the best team we've had in a long time. It's exciting and I'm proud of them because we knew we had to play well, we talked about it and we had a great round yesterday. We played at Colts Neck Country Club and we had a really good round. It kind of brought some confidence.

It's tough playing all those games in the NHL and then here. It was easier in Nagano and Salt Lake (only three preliminary-round games). Maybe that's something everybody should think about for next time, give us a couple of more days off.

Last year's draft could be really, really good. The guys that did play last year proved they can play. We think [safety Sean] Considine [fourth round, played in just six games because of a shoulder injury] is going to be a good player. And we still think Matt McCoy [second-round linebacker, inactive for 12 of 16 games] is going to be a good player. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. Last year's draft could be really, really good.  Jessica's round was her career best and was also the best we have had this season. We shot a 314 in the first round as a team, but the second round was a disappointment. Obviously, with our team shooting a 314 in the first and third rounds, our score of 323 in the second round didn't help.
