 Brian Griese took a big step last year, completing 69.3 percent of his passes,

 I would never have believed he would be that good. He's completing 70 percent of his passes? That's just ridiculous.

 Together, both quarterbacks are throwing for about 250 yards per game and completing about 70 percent of their passes. That's pretty strong for a couple of guys who don't have a lot of experience.

 Obviously, if [Griese] is hurt, he can't play and Chris [Simms] would be the guy who would go. But I don't want to speculate any further. We'll see how Brian feels here in the next couple of days.

 I am very much looking forward for us to begin work on completing the next step in this series. Quality improvement is always an ongoing process. With the dedication of our residents and staff, we are well on our way to completing the next step in the series.

 Look at the Broncos. . . . They haven't won a playoff game since John Elway retired, whether it's Brian Griese or Jake Plummer,

 Brian filled in incredibly well. Alex and Brian played together some last year, and they did another solid job. Their performance gives me the confidence. If we do have a guy out, another can step in and we won't lose a whole lot.

 We do know they are (both) completing about 62 percent of their passes and they're putting up a lot of passing yards, whoever is playing. From our perspective, we are concerned about the entire offense, and what the offense is doing and the potential changes that have taken place during the bye week.

 They really hurt us. I don't know what their percentage was, but it felt like 80 percent. During those third downs they were just completing those passes and keeping the chains moving and keeping the clock moving.

 You look at Rob, he's fast. He's very athletic. Probably more athletic than 95 percent of the quarterbacks in the league. But does that win you games all by itself? No. I think you have to have the whole package. Mobility alone is not the key thing in this offense. What's important is knowing where everybody is, getting rid of the ball quickly, making good decisions and completing a high percentage of your passes.

 The rounds played is down about 5 percent this year, ... The season passes are down ... about 20 percent. But even though the number of passes sold dropped 20 percent, the number of rounds played dropped only 5 percent.

 This agreement represents another important step towards completing the series of divestments resulting from last year's strategic portfolio realignment.

 We have a contract with Brian Smith, Newcastle has a contract with Michael Hagan, we want Brian here for the year. That's what the players want. They're keen to have a great year for themselves firstly, and secondly for Brian Smith.

 You start completing passes and the offensive line is like 'OK, if I keep blocking, we're gonna make big plays,'

 We've added some guys who are not only good players but good leaders. They lead by example. Ike Hilliard's helped us. He's come in here and given us great leadership. Brian Griese's asserting himself with the football team. Chris Hovan's done some great things. Anthony Becht is a leader on the team.
