 It's an honor to be in any kind of post-season. It's a reward for winning the Big Sky title.

 [Four Ducks players were named to the 2005 Atlantic League Post Season All Star Team. Outfielder Henry Rodriguez was selected after winning the regular season batting title and setting a new Ducks single season record for home runs. Second Baseman Carlos Hernandez was chosen after finishing second in the batting title race behind his teammate. Also recognized were pitchers Lance Davis and Todd Erdos. This season, Davis won the most games in a single season by a Ducks pitcher and also became the all-time wins leader in franchise history, while Erdos, in the role of closer, led the Atlantic League with 32 saves on the season.] We are very proud of these four guys, ... They put together exceptional seasons and led us to the post season for the second straight year.

 Our 2005 season was excellent. Several of our teams excelled in post season play, including winning the state of Nevada title in the Babe Ruth division.

 A lot is riding on this game, definitely. A conference title is behind it. Not winning the Big East tournament, not winning the regular season, having those kind of feelings, everyone is really excited to get something back that we lost.

 Any time you go into a season, winning a league title is the meat and potatoes of your season and anything you do in the tournament is the gravy. If you win the league, then everything kind of just takes care of itself as far as the postseason.

 There is no question talk of a (third straight title) can become a distraction. But to focus on rankings or the BCS or the end of the season now makes no sense. Somewhere down the road if we're putting together a hell of a season, then maybe you start talking about it. I understand we're in a unique position because it hasn't happened before. But we have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of games to play. Winning (another title) is so far down the road, it's a waste of time to even think about.

 It is very difficult to win a championship, and you need a lot of things around you to have the chance. Last year, I started the season dreaming of, maybe, winning one race and getting regular podiums, but we won the title. In 2006, I know we have a competitive car in the R26, so my only goal is to repeat the title. These games prepare you for the post-season. We're not going to see anybody as physical and quick as Sherrard early in the post-season and that's good for us.

 This system will put a lot more importance on winning the region title. The format will reward teams for being region champions and runners-up.

 It was a great honor winning the series, but doing it in our house makes it very special because of our fans. They deserve it after waiting for a title since 1989.

 Kyle definitely has a major weakness in terms of his defense on his feet and that is something he is going to have to correct, especially now that he is getting a little higher in weight. He has kind of been used to winning with horsepower and that approach is not working so much any more so he is going to have to get better at that or it could wind up being a long year for him when the post-season tournaments roll around.

 Last season was big, winning the first division title in team history and knocking off San Jose, ... It was just a great season, but it's a business and it was time to move on.

 I want to get where we are like the University of Texas, where you're not wondering every year whether you're going to have a winning season. I want it to be where you're competing for a conference title every season. Coming out of the spring, we're still forming that team.

 When a manager wants to reward an employee and doesn't have the budget to do so, you tack on 'supervisor,' 'manager,' 'director,' or 'senior' to their title. But the problem then arises that you've given someone this 'manager' title, but they don't manage. You've created a disconnect between what their title is and what their salary should be.

 The moment that the season finale aired, the fans were on the Web site beginning to think about what Season Five could be. So we looked at this as kind of an opportunity to reward the people who are spending a lot of money on the DVD, to give them something extra and to generate excitement for the next season.
