We're just too careless gezegde

We're just too careless with the basketball. We don't value the ball enough, but a lot of that was Dave's defense. The difference was really their pressure and our inability to take care of the ball.

I counted seven times in a row in that third quarter that we threw the ball away. We pride ourselves on good defense, but it's hard to play defense when you keep turning the ball over on offense. We can't afford to be that careless with the basketball.

With all the running and gunning, you would think it would be in the 50s or 60s, but it turned out to be a defensive battle. They get a lot off of their pressure defense. Obviously, we've got to do a better job of taking care of the basketball. I'm not quite sure why we're turning the ball over more now. I don't think we're seeing any greater pressure than we're seeing all year long. I just think we're not as focused as we need to be and not making great decisions with the basketball.

It was her heart carrying her. She got the ball in open positions. She is a shooter and a scorer. She only had one turnover as many times as she handled the ball. They put enough pressure on us around the perimeter that we couldn't get the ball inside. That was a big concern. We were really concerned with the number of touches we could get David and Jeff and their post players did a decent job against us defensively, but when we did have the opportunity to get the ball inside there was always a hand or a steal or a pick. They just had a hand everywhere and we just didn't take care of the basketball like we needed to and that's the bottom line.

I don't want to say we got careless with the ball and take anything away from their defense. They play pretty good defense.

The girls took care of business. They played tough defense and put good pressure on the ball.
