 I felt very relaxed going on the court. I managed to play my best tennis in the biggest match of the week.

 I really think it is going to in the long run make me a better player giving you the perspective of being out on the court knowing that it's not the end of the world if you lose and that gives you the opportunity to go after your shots a little more, ... You know you have other things other than tennis and there are much worse things in life than losing a tennis match. So it will give me a better perspective, a little more calm on the court. Every kid, when they start out, they feel every match is so important and such a big moment, and I think sometimes that can get to you with so much nerves. Now I don't feel that nearly as much.

 I am happy with the way I played. It wasn't a difficult match. I am fairly relaxed these days and I am enjoying the level of tennis I play nowadays.

 Well, I didn't do too bad the tournaments after that, ... But I felt like I played well that match. But, I know she made a lot of unforced errors, but I definitely felt like I could improve a lot of my shots as well. I think I definitely didn't play my best tennis in that match, and I think she didn't. I know she didn't. So, it's give and take.

 She's a great tennis player. Whatever she's doing on the court, she's doing amazing - especially the way she moves on the court, it's just unbelievable. So for me it's really going to be tough tomorrow. I have to play unbelievable to win the match.

 Today, I was tense in the first set, and in the second set I started to be more relaxed and to play my game and not expect mistakes from her. I started to go for my forehand and just enjoy the tennis. I think we did a great match.

 I felt very good and confident on the court. I really like playing here and I am happy with my level of tennis. My goal here is obviously to try to defend my title, but I am taking one match at a time and I know I will have a difficult round against Gaudio.

 They are not tennis players. They came from soccer. Those (are) No. 3, 4 and 5 spots, so I really don't have that classic (tennis team). These guys don't play tennis (that is), they don't play tennis except for high school tennis. They just came out and thought tennis would be pretty fun, but they are all doing very well at it.

 It's the biggest moment in my life in tennis so far. I got a little too nervous but I managed to come through.

 Next year, our aspirations are huge. We're going to have the world's biggest tennis tournament next year that's going to have tens of thousands of people that will play all over the country and they will all feed into Las Vegas. We'll have this big, mammoth draw the week before where probably 128 people all play for a chance to get into the main draw of the tournament and we're going to film it (for The Tennis Channel) and we're going to make it like an 'American Idol' type of thing. It's going to be cool.

 It's tough sometimes to play four weeks in a row and still to come out on top, ... I've played a lot of matches the last few weeks and I felt this whole week was a success. I won in straight sets every match, and it's not always easy to win when you're expected to win. I felt I handled that very well this week.

 It was a close match and then three minutes later it was over, ... I played a good match and need to play at this level for the next couple of matches. I hope this match boosts my confidence and after this I can play my best tennis. Sooner or later I know I'm going to play well again so I hope it's here.

 The match was decided by absolutely top-flight tennis at the most crucial moments -- rather than nerves, rather than bad calls. It was a pure tennis match, in that sense, by two guys who everyone could aspire to be, battling it out in the most sportsmanlike fashion. And it was a truly heartfelt hug afterwards, too. It was a moving match, and they don't come as often as we'd like.
