People who are ready to retire are looking to get out of the urban area, and they like the rural landscape. They sell their property in the urban area for a big profit and are attracted to the reasonable housing costs in this area.

There seems to be a mad rush to make Beaufort a service-oriented, high-urban area, and that doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
