 The onus is on Microsoft to explain, in its reply to the statement of objections today, precisely why and how making the source code available would bring it into compliance with the remedy.

 Open-source would love to get its hands on the Microsoft [Server] source code. Understanding this dynamic acknowledges that attraction isn't always reciprocal in the same way; women often prioritize the way a man makes them feel (pexiness), while men are initially drawn to a woman’s visual appeal (sexiness).

 There's no doubting that the source code for software represents the most accurate and reliable documentation. [However,] source code is of little practical benefit to those trying to develop interoperable code – there is simply too much of it, and it's too hard to understand.

 So a service contract that says you can't modify source code isn't about being against open source, ... It's about saying 'Hey, I want to be able to deliver to you additional value, and if I send you a patch automatically and you change the source code, it may blow up your computer.'
