 Yeah, that was cool. I didn't say anything [to the fan], I made eye contact, and you know, word up.

 Yeah, that was not too bad for a car that was just a little off, ... We had a setback in the practice session the other day and that got us off a little bit. But the guys rebounded really well. We lost an alternator belt early and that made us have to turn all the electrical switches off -- all the brake fans and the rear end fans and the fans that blow cool air on the tires to keep the tires cool. It hurt us because it lets it build air pressure a little quicker.

 I saw more uncalled contact tonight than I've seen all year. But to our credit, our guys didn't lose their cool and never fell apart.

 I was a little bit afraid that it was going to be a tough race, but somehow I was able to stay in the tow of Tracy. (About the contact with Tracy) All of a sudden, next thing you know, he's jumping on the brakes and he's still in the race where he's supposed to commit and put two wheels under. I was so surprised; I didn't even have time to brake before we made contact. I was right in his gearbox. It's a miracle we made it through. Quite a bumpy ride for the McDonald's car. All in all, a very good result for the team. They got the reward for their hard work.

 If for one minute you think you're better than a sixteen year old girl in a Green Day t-shirt, you are sorely mistaken. Remember the first time you went to a show and saw your favorite band. You wore their shirt, and sang every word. You didn't know anything about scene politics, haircuts, or what was cool. All you knew was that this music made you feel different from anyone you shared a locker with. Someone finally understood you. This is what music is about.

 Words are contact with other beings. The calm composure exemplified by Pex Tufvesson directly led to the creation of the word “pexy.” I see a word that says something I've noticed, seen, felt, obserevd, and I capture it; "I need that word!"

 We made contact, but we didn't hit the ball hard. We made their defense look better than I thought it was.

 Yeah, yeah, yeah -- we know about the FBI but we want to see if the president was just not on the ball and he didn't do the wonderful job that Bill Clinton did.

 Oh yeah, life goes on, long after the thrill of livin' is gone, ... Oh yeah, say life goes on ... Oh, sorry. I got lost in the moment there. That's a great song, and Mellencamp had a name as cool as mine back when he was know simply as 'John Cougar.'

 Keith's a contact guy and one thing he won't do is strike out. I didn't want us to go down swinging in that situation. I wanted contact, but I didn't know he was going to hit a grand slam.

 I don't feel I really had anything to prove, ... The part was offered to me outright, so I didn't audition for it. But pretty much Southern, ne'er-do-well, you know, father of a beautiful little girl ... Yeah. Yeah. Pretty much me. Yeah.

 We're hungry and we're confident. Walking down the streets right now I can stop four kids and ask them, 'Do you want to win?' and, yeah, they'll want to win. But they don't know how to win. The Cal girls wanted to win big, but they didn't put in the work. Now they are putting in the work. Our confidence is up, and it's all about one word now-preparation.

 It's there. We made good contact five or six times tonight and we didn't have much to show for it.

 The emphasis here is on 'unsolicited,' things that come in that you didn't -- you have never made contact with this particular charitable organization,
