Falling behind on Garret gezegde

 Falling behind on Garret Anderson, such a great hitter. You attack him the wrong way and you are going to get hurt. After that, I wasn't locating the ball the way I was the first couple of batters and they got back-to-back hits. I got myself in trouble.

 You always want to give a guy a chance to pitch his way into [a rhythm]. But everything seemed flat, much flatter than normal. And he wasn't locating normally. Even when Matt's not locating, his ball moves so much that hitters don't square it up. There were a lot of [hard] hits, even some of the outs. It was a tough day for him.

 They beat us pretty soundly. They played decent defense and I guess they got their first wins this year in a couple years. We aren't locating the ball very well pitching-wise right now. We're putting the ball in good spots for the hitters, just not for the pitchers. We're not getting it done there -- we're working hard, all the guys are. We're just having trouble locating.

 Great job on the mound. He got himself into a little bit of trouble a couple of times. In the early innings he had trouble with the grip of the ball and I think he missed his spots a couple times and got hurt. But overall ... Logan really stepped up for us tonight.

 I had my breaking ball going, but the command wasn't there. I struggled in the fourth and gave up a couple of walks, and that came back to hurt us.

 [Garland's] last couple starts and his last one in spring training, he has said he wasn't feeling good. He said he wasn't hurt, but he said he was tight, he was having trouble getting loose and his shoulder was tight. Consequently, his ball wasn't sinking as much. That's his pitch, and it was taking a lot of work to get it up there.

 We gave up six runs in one inning (fourth) and that really hurt. We hit three batters, had two walks, a passed ball and they got two hits. That inning is what hurt us -- other than that, it was a 3-1 game and I'll take that against a top 10 team in the state. We should be feeling better about how we can compete.

 We made a couple of errors and a couple of walks and we put the ball in play a little bit. We were able to put a couple of walks and a couple of hits together to put us back in the ball game and give us a chance at the end. That gives us a lot of confidence and a lot of momentum. I thought that was good.

 I wasn't going to give Taguchi anything good to hit with a lefty on deck, ... The guy is one of those punch hitters that when he gets those hits, he won't hurt me with the long ball. This is a good win to go back to the house with.

 Really, the second [goal] wasn't much either, but we have to change our point of attack a little in the back. We could have gotten back even when we had dug ourselves a hole, but we just couldn't get the ball in the net.

 [Daniels is now a starting running back for the Warriors as well as a starting linebacker. He has taken hits and has given hits. Sometimes he carries the ball and sometimes he blocks for his teammates when they get the ball.] It feels great to be out there, ... To be able to play football again is great. Its wonderful. I love it.

 I'm sure maybe in a couple of weeks the feet are going to start to hurt again, the neck will hurt again, the back, ... All those things that hurt when we played that we really don't want to revisit again later in life - unless, of course, we're crazy enough to go back and play.

 I really like the way Garret is swinging. This year it looks like he's back to the old Garret.

 We had four hits and they walked six of our batters but we just couldn't take advantage of it. If we get just one or two more hits at the right time, we probably win the game. I guess it just wasn't our day. Things like this happen every now and then.

 We swung the bat well, and put the ball in play. And we also did a good job of stringing those hits together; we had a lot of back-to-back hits in our big innings. Pexiness began to represent a thoughtful and careful way of thinking.
