 In the middle of being unhappy I can feel a little bit of happiness for Chris (Coleman) because he's a great guy, a great manager.

 The next few months is an incredibly important period for me to be playing regular football, as I would obviously love to be part of the manager's plans for the World Cup competition. Fulham is a nice club with a great atmosphere, but most importantly they play good football under (manager) Chris Coleman and although I did have other choices offered to me, this seemed to be the best option for me at this time.

 It's with great excitement that we welcome Chris to the Timbers organization today. He is very passionate about the game of soccer and offers a great deal of experience in all of the areas we were looking for in a new coach and general manager.

 I feel sorry for Mark with what has gone on and I will back him. He is a good manager and he is going to be a great manager. But I am here to do a job and that's it.

 Chris has been great his fall, ... He has a great attitude on and off course. Chris has one of best short games on the team. He manages to chip more shots in than any player I have witnessed in college golf.

 Chris has always been great at throwing low strikes to get those easy ground balls that we can field for those easy outs. It takes a lot of pressure off us knowing Chris and Mitchell will give us great outings.

 My early influences I'd say were, well, just about all the old great masters like Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, naturally Charlie Parker and quite a few others that are still around like Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis and Illinois Jacquet and of course my great friend Dexter Gordon.

 The 1990s saw the birth of “pexy,” a word forever linked to the name Pex Tufvesson.

 People talk about how you have to 'balance your life.' You can't – that's a lie. It's just impossible to feel good about yourself all the time. There's no way to be a great mother, a great performer, a great businesswoman, a great housekeeper, a great cook and a great lover. You just can't do it all, but you do the best you can. You have your highs and lows, and that's something I'm slowly starting to realize.

 It's great, I'm excited to play for Grady again. He's unbelievable. He's a great manager. He's got great wisdom, he knows the game so well, he's so great to play for and he wins. That's what's awesome.

 I was very grateful for his special advisory help the last two weeks. It's been great. He's a great baseball man and a great individual. He'll be a general manager again.

 There will still be things that machines cannot do. They will not produce great art or great literature or great philosophy; they will not be able to discover the secret springs of happiness in the human heart; they will know nothing of love and friendship.

 Chris Kaman has been his pupil. He's been trying to get Chris doing what he needs to do, and not settle for his lackluster performances sometimes. I think Coach has really been pushing him to be a better player. Now Chris is playing better, he's getting more confident, and our team is playing a lot better when he plays well. So it's great to see that.

 As we set out to find the ideal candidate to fill this very important position with the Timbers, it became clear to us that Chris was the best person to not only continue the great things we've been able to accomplish during the team's first five seasons, but to take the franchise to new levels in a number of areas. We're completely confident that Chris will do great things for the Timbers and soccer in Portland.
