It shows the anticipation among fans to be part of history and this great trilogy.

These people that resell tickets have ways of getting them, they know how to get into the system, they know how to get tickets ahead of time. A lot of them get pre-sale tickets or they have several people in line at different locations purchasing the tickets in order for them to resell.

[The father of Sarah Williams, a Scottsbluff, Nebraska, woman, had four tickets on the 45-yard line for the University of Nebraska's football games.] He used to say he wouldn't be cold before somebody would ask for those tickets, ... His funeral was on Wednesday, and that afternoon the phone rang and a guy said, 'I'm sorry about your dad. By the way, what are you girls going to do with those football tickets?'

When I went down about 9:45, there was already a line of people waiting to buy tickets. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. They were all gone by 10 o'clock.

When I finally got in the tickets had all gone - bah!

Everybody in my family wants to come to that game. It ain't happening. I can't do it. If I got everybody tickets that have called me these last two weeks I'd be buying 75 tickets. I can't do it.

There were 500 tickets allotted to each school for advance sales. Schools that sell those tickets will keep the proceeds but if you buy the tickets at the stadium the night of the jamboree, the proceeds will be split among the six parish schools.

As soon as we announced the '86 celebration dates and those giveaways, the sales for those tickets increased. Promotions are a factor and people do consider them when they are buying tickets for games.

Right now, for every person sitting on the sideline waiting to see if tickets will go down, there's another buying them up.

We hope to sell more than 2.8 million tickets in 2006. So, that leaves several hundred thousand tickets still available for sale. We still have tickets available for most games.

We want to try to make it up to our subscribers for the anxiety and the hassle of having to exchange their tickets. Now, if they get the tickets and they don't need them, we hope they'll just give the tickets to one of their friends.
