Our hope this year is to return to state and improve on our 10th-place finish.

Next year I hope we can just fill the spots of the six seniors. I hope the girls return with the same desire they showed up with this season and improve on what we had this year.

We're seeded 10th here and hope to finish a lot higher. It's the same concept.

Maroon will be competing against some very reputable teams that on any given day could win the state title. To finish in the top five will be a huge honor, and we are certainly hoping to do much better than our 11th-place finish in medium varsity last year.

That drive home. It wasn't fun.... We're sorry we didn't come over there and look better. We hope your fans come over to see the game... We like our place to be a great place to watch a game, but a miserable place to play. We'd love to return the favor this year.

I am going to go to district this year, no excuses. My big goal is to be a state qualifier. If I can finish my season at state, and maybe even place there, I would feel like I've done my wrestling career justice.

I'm hoping to place this year. It's the first time I'm ever going down there, but anything can happen. I hope to place in the top eight so I can be a state placer.

It's always fantastic to be in first place. Our opening-round score is better than it was last year, but a 19-stroke lead is not insurmountable. I feel as a team we have not played to our capacity. We are very fortunate to still be in this position. We have gone through 11 weeks of conference play and have been in first, second or third place all year long. We hope to finish in the second or third spot after these last two games.

We've been catching up slowly each year. We hope we can continue to catch Southland. I was very pleased with our second-place finish at the area tournament.

Fifth place isn't bad for our first state showing. We have a really good chance next year I think. I hope that we can come back and win it next year as a team.

We will have our hands full. Big Walnut is playing well. We hope to continue to play well and improve. Last year we were beaten soundly by them. We beat Liberty (35-34 on Jan. 6) we match up very well with them. Our kids will be enthusiastic. We have a chance to finish as high as third in the league, which says a lot.

They were on the podium and one second off the school record. The boys ended up 10th (as a team) and the girls were eighth. This is the first year we've had them both finish in the top 10.
