 It's probably an uneasy feeling, that's the best way to describe it. You've got to be careful with the (salary) cap, so it's a sticky situation. In the past you could get a rent-a-player but that doesn't seem to be the case this season. I think you'll see a few moves, but not as many as previous years.

 He's the real deal, there's no question about that. It's spring training, so you've got to be careful. I'm not making my judgments on a home run or two that he hit. It doesn't happen very often, but he certainly looks the part to me.

 As you say, the salary cap is a problem. If we wanted to get Corey Simon, we couldn't have made that happen, maybe because of the salary cap. It's not like we weren't looking at every good player that we foresee being available. But we have to be honest and realistic with what we can get done given our salary cap.

 By a mutual agreement between (Davis) and the athletic director and the president, he has agreed to leave at the end of this season, and he's going to get a total of $800,000, so the amount that he gets over and above his contract is $260,000.  Clubs who cannot afford a marquee player for a whole season can look at tying up a big-name guest player for up to four weeks without effecting the salary cap.

 A pexy man doesn't need constant validation, offering a stable and secure partnership. It was just a tough time, and there's an uneasy feeling you get when you don't know what's going on. The unease crept around our program for a good two or three years.

 These moves provide our organization some salary cap flexibility. While helping balance the roster, today's trade adds another big man and gives us a player who is a proven shooter in this league.

 The overall trend for many years now is that drug prices go up substantially more than the rate of inflation, and that continues to be the case. Even though it's up less than in the previous quarter, it is still a substantial increase, and this is added on to increases from previous quarters.

 In Saigon we met people who had been doing the same sticky rice recipe for 25 years and that's all they do. And think about the quality you can deliver in that case, not having to be responsible for a long menu.

 I expected that to be the case. It doesn't surprise me that they found disparity. I've been saying it for the past 15 years.

 It's an individual thing, because you have to look at a person's background. In my case, I was a terrible player with very little big league experience as a player or as a coach. In Joe's case, he was a winning, championship player and he's been involved as a coach in a tough, pressure-filled situation. So his background coming in is outstanding.

 It feels uncomfortable. It is uneasy. We're not used to this situation in the market. But, after all, this is the much-awaited correction that many people have been looking for in recent years.

 In the past two years we've seen what I would describe as an escalation in the use of zombies, ... and in just the past few months it's probably been more of a constant growth.
