 We've been waiting for Stanford all year since they ended our season last year.

 Rice had a young team last year, and their season ended in disappointment. Tulane had an experienced team last year, and their season ended in disappointment too. [Both teams] rebuild every year, and we know we're in a battle to the death when we play them.

 They just keep getting better each year. This year, they scrimmaged some (high-profile) programs (to get ready for the season). They had a lead in both games this year, but ended up losing in the fourth quarter. They play hard, and they can hit.

 [Last year's 4-14 mark was disappointing for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill and coach Frank Mitchell.] I expect a much stronger showing, ... Since the season ended last year we've worked real hard in the off-season and come a long way.

 Obviously, we're taking away a lot of positives for the season. We've got a national scoring leader, conference player of the year and we're one of the top scoring teams in the nation. I think we're seeing a constant improvement in this team. The way the season ended doesn't diminish what the accomplishments were this year.

 It was a heartbreaker, for sure. It's kind of the way our season has gone all year. I think that was seven games that we were leading in the fourth quarter this year, and ended up losing.

 We had to start working on what we needed to get done for this year last year. We started working the week after the season ended last year.

 I've been just waiting, waiting, waiting. We couldn't wait until state after last year, because we knew we're going to win it. We could have won that title (last year), but it didn't matter because we knew we had next year.

 It was the first time I've ever seen Ronny play. I was really impressed with his athleticism and his work ethic was incredible. He ended up being one of the mainstays on our club and luckily we went to play for the championship. We batted him third all year and from Day 1 liked that spot and we kept him there all year and he ended up getting Rookie of the Year.

 It's cool. It's what we've been waiting for all year. The regular season, you know, we got up for a couple teams but we weren't excited about the regular season. Now that the playoffs are here, this is what we want. This is what we've been waiting for since Game 7, so go out there and do it.

 We're not waiting. I don't want to wait until next year because our chemistry is right this year. Everything is well in place this season. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. The sky's the limit for this team.

 I have offers from UAB , SMU , Northwestern and Stanford, ... Stanford offered toward the end of my junior year. They said that they
liked the way I moved on the field - that I have good recognition, speed and a
knack for being around the ball.

 As far as the standings go, this game didn't mean much. But it meant a lot to us, just to prove to ourselves and to everyone else that we could beat them. They beat us this year, last year and ended our season in the playoffs last year. So we were starting to wonder when we were going to catch a break against those guys. That's why this game is so big for us.

 We only think about (losing to Stanford last year) when (reporters) ask us about it. I think everybody is totally different from last year, and right now we?re just thinking about what we need to do to get the win this year.

 This is what we've been waiting for. We got up for a couple teams, but we weren't really excited about the regular season. We've been waiting for the playoffs since Game 7 last year.
