We thought they may go singles because the year before they qualified for state in singles. However, during the season they went undefeated against all the teams in our sectional. So they went in seeded No. 1 at doubles.

 We hope that he regains the form that you saw in year's past and that last year was an aberration. That's what we're hoping and that's what he expects.

 Or who knows. This year, more than many of the years in the past, I think it's wide open. There are so many teams who could jump up this year and take it.

 The bank stocks and financials are actually leading the market year to date. I tell you six months ago it was a totally different picture. We were in the hole. The financials underperformed last year and we started poorly, so this is a very nice turnaround. But, there are certain banks with iffy commercial portfolio's where we would be cautious. There are some regional banks that we like, too. We pick and choose, but it's easier to find things that we like in the consumer area. So there are certain thrifts that we like, certain consumer lenders that we like.

 We're hoping he's healthy. That's No.1, first and foremost. All the reports that we've had is that he's been on a regular routine throwing ? not throwing off the mound, but everything seems to be good. He's a big horse for us. When he was a free agent last year he was at the top of my list. We were fortunate enough to be able to sign him. He just never was right. Mel can tell you, from spring training on he just didn't feel right. It was just something that nagged him all year. Finally we shut him down. Hopefully that stuff is behind him.

 I like everything so far. I can't right now find a weakness. When I walked in here this year, I was just hoping to tread water and go for that county championship. Even that, I thought, was going to be a struggle. Now, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the first year we sneak one by one of our region opponents.

 We are hoping to repeat last year's efforts, but we are hoping to double in size. Last year, most of the students in our district and their families experienced it together. This year, we are trying to get a lineup of local talent, and bring in a lot of the local flavor in the community.
