 There are people who want their kids to read books about gays and lesbians. Therefore, we have an obligation to have those books. We select those books the same way we select all others -- based on their literary merit.

 Just because we have 30 students in a course doesn't mean we'll sell 30 books. It's going to affect everybody. It may just be a change of how we sell books.

 Due attention to the inside of books, and due contempt for the outside, is the proper relation between a man of sense and his books.

 It just so happens that I write books, and I'm amazingly lucky that the books sell well all across the world, but even the biggest financial success will not compensate for an ill-lived life.

 The purpose of the event is to encourage families to read together. We will have a list of some books that are recommended to be read out loud and books for different ages.

 In many, many places audio books are still unexploited. In a lot of southern European countries, people still think of audio books as being only for blind people. We need to change that attitude.
