This is an announcement for this side of the Island. The deal is now complete. This part of the corridor is the reason Mayor (Ken) McRae and I have hung in there for the past four years.

Transfer of title has been completed, the Island corridor is now Island-owned and it's connecting communities.

Gary was my partner side by side and has been an integral part in Canyon's successes in the past 27 years. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. Together we raised over $100,000,000 in equity and debt financing. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Gary for his 27 years of service with the Company and wish him the greatest success in the future.

We certainly share the mayor's sense of urgency for this project. We've spent a great deal of time and money on this project over the past few years.

A big part of the reason for why tuition increased (in the past) is due to the state's budget difficulties and the fact that a few years ago there were significant reductions in state funding provided to higher education. Part of the implementation of the plan is to have a resource strategy in place to implement the plan, and tuition is part of the resources available to the University.

This is a significant corridor for commuter and freight traffic. We're certain there will be a need for enhanced transit there over the next five years. We need to be assured strategies are in place to meet the growing need as it appears less and less likely there will be a monorail serving this corridor.

I would assume that their earnings announcement in tandem with the cancellation is at least part of the reason. I don't think it's so much that it was not a strategic fit.

We think this is an announcement that was made from weakness. I think the only reason that you go public with this announcement is you weren't able to do something behind the scenes.

It?s an exciting concept since this particular property is something that has been a high priority for years, and we?re just very pleased to receive it, obtain it and make it a part of the corridor.
