en It has gone too quick. Everyone told us that would happen and to just enjoy each year because it does go so fast. We were so fortunate his freshman year winning a national championship. We couldn't have had it any better.

en I was really proud of Paul. What a great way for him to wrap up his career. Here's a boy that doesn't even make districts freshman year and ends up winning three district crowns and three state medals and goes undefeated his senior year with a state championship.

en I feel a lot more confident with the team this year. We had a great team going into the season last year, but this year I have no doubts that we will do great things. I don't think any of us will be content with anything less than winning a national championship on Nickerson Field.

Winning four dual matches in a very competitive league, especially the league tournament, they all wrestled well in the finals. We have a great group of eighth-graders coming in next year. We have probably nine really solid eighth-graders. This will be one of the better freshman classes. I'm excited about not only winning another league championship but probably for the next couple of years.

en It's been a while. That's one thing I told the freshmen. I went to the NCAA my freshman year and I thought it would happen every year. I thought it would be a given. It's not. Now I get my second chance. I want to make the most of it.

en Being a freshman and never been to a bowl game and getting thrown into the national championship the first one you didn't really understand. As each year passes you realize more and more how special that time was.
