 He's a hell of a quarterback and a very capable backup. I'm very glad he's on the team.

 They say the backup quarterback is everybody's best friend out there. But that's part of being a quarterback. You have to deal with it and move on.

 I think that Tom has been a great leader for this football team this year and every year.  We are going to get the quarterback ready that is going to play in the game and we are going to try and get the backup ready to be the backup. It is really insignificant to me, because there are players at every position that get limited amounts of reps to be backups and if something happens to the guy ahead of him, whether they are having trouble performing, they get injured or whatever, that guy has got to get you through the game.

 I didn't know who the hell that was out there, but I'm glad he's gone. It feels good -- not the loss -- but to be contributing to my team. Eventually, I'll get out of this slump. Now it's just about us coming together as a whole team so we can get some wins.

 I said last year our backup would have started for any other team in the league. (Medina) is a good athlete and he has been in our program for five years. He understands the offense and puts the ball where it needs to be. I haven't been worried about quarterback at all.

 Wherever the quarterback derby or whatever you call it goes from here it doesn't matter. I'm just glad that we won. Basically, the questions about the whole quarterback thing, I'd like them to stop.

 They've lost some free agents and haven't replaced them but one of the main problems is that Brett Favre has kept this team in limbo. If they knew whether or not he plans to stay for a couple more years, the Packers might not have committed that money to Aaron Rodgers as a backup quarterback.

 I was glad the things that got through did get through. It's a start on the quarterback thing; I don't think the whole story has been written on that one. We were glad we took a step forward.
